I will be on and off of Flickr for a several days. I will leave you with this image which I hope will intrigue you. A sight that can only be seen in Vietnam and should make you feel like a child again. I will add similar scenes later and tell you more about this delightful Vietnamese art form.
暇なので近所の公園でこんなことをして遊んでみました。
■第1話 過剰対応の人達
俺はちょっと古いがレジン製の精密模型のTレックスだ、高かったんだぞ!
I am free. So I played like this in a neighborhood park.
■Episode 1 Excessive people
I'm a little old, but a resin precision model T-Rex. It was expensive!
This puppet was made to represent the Strawberry Shortcake character Apple Dumplin'.
One year in the 1980s while Heather was visiting in the summer my brother and I created a hand made puppet stage and hand made puppets featuring three characters from the Strawberry Shortcake series of characters which was then owned by American Greetings and made into a toy line by Kenner. These photos are simply documentary in nature and show the puppets which Jeff and I had created by hand, inspired by those characters.
なんだお前、ガチャポン生まれの300円ゴム製ふなっしーじゃねーか
なに、Tレックスなのに羽毛が生えてないだって、うるせーな、その説が出る前に作られたんだよ、痛いとこ突きやがってコノヤロー
Hey, you're a 300 yen rubber Funassyi born in Gachapon!
What ... I'm a T-Rex but no feathers, Shut up! Damn it, I was made before the theory was published!
Don't speak bad, rubber guy!
(Note) Funassii is a mascot character who lives in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture and is set as "Pear Fairy".

This is the twentieth entry for my 52 weeks project here on Flickr. Okay, here's the story. Last weekend has been quite a disappointment to me. As some of you might know I've started training for my very first half marathon in September about nine weeks ago. My first run (during which I started to settle my affairs) was 2,81 km (1,74 miles) long and took me 20 minutes. I can manage to run 12 km (7,46 miles) in under 1 hour and 10 minutes by now, which is a huge improvement for me. On the way to said half marathon I was looking forward to participate in some short distance, high paced fun runs around here. One of them (my first one) was taking place in the evening of last Saturday. A huge event. Corporate run. Over 3000 participants. My company paid the entry fee and they even treated me to a very valuable running shirt. I realized my race was already finished when vomiting and diarrhea started to kick in on Friday night…
Long story short, I wanted to create an homage to my rather vomity weekend. So I spent 4 (!) hours yesterday evening on setting up, shooting and editing. But not on this picture. The original one just couldn't live up to my own expectations and so I turned back to an idea that came to my mind a few days ago. Sometimes you just have to go with solid Plan B rather than a crappy Plan A.
Nothing fancy about the development of this photo. Just two shots. Almost identical lighting setup (I just turned off the rim light to the right for the shot of mini me). Some extracting and shadow editing in Photoshop and of course my usual finish. That's about it.

One Nissin Di866 with a dirty orange filter gel and a honeycomb grid at 1/4 power, zoomed to 24 mm, pointed at the white background behind me. One Yongnuo YN560 at 1/4 power, zoomed to 35 mm, shot through a Westcott collapsible umbrella from high front right. All flashes were fired by Cactus V4 radio triggers. Shutter was triggered by a V5.

This puppet was made to represent the Strawberry Shortcake character The Purple Pie Man of Porcupine Peak. His mustache used to extend all the way past his face and terminated in small curls on either side. Over they years parts of it has been lost in storage and moving.

A puppet is an object, often resembling a human, animal or mythical figure, that is animated or manipulated by a person called a puppeteer. The puppeteer uses movements of their hands, arms, or control devices such as rods or strings to move the body, head, limbs, and in some cases the mouth and eyes of the puppet. The puppeteer often speaks in the voice of the character of the puppet, and then synchronizes the movements of the puppet's mouth with this spoken part. The actions, gestures and spoken parts acted out by the puppeteer with the puppet are typically used in storytelling.

The second (and currently last) Showdown Bandit character I've made, I'm hoping to get more pieces to make others, soon I'm planning on making the last member of the Butcher Gang and some characters from Bendy and the Dark Revival. I love all of the detail all over her, it looks amazing, although I had a Mega-Blox Shovel piece I got from a Call of Duty set, I think it would have been more accurate to the shovel she has in game, however since I couldn't find it I had to compromise.

So, this is how I feel like, when my body wont listen.. and get over this stupid flu. Like a puppet in a puppet show with no control over my own body.

Oliver + S Hopscotch Tee & Puppet Show Bloomers Set.
I made this set for my dear friend's daughter, Sydney, on her 3rd birthday.
Both pieces we made with fabric I already had on hand. The knit is a printed stripe...which was printed crooked...arg! The bloomers are made out of leftover chambray from Ruby's Bubble dress.
I added a Little Wish Bunny appliqué from Urban Threads in the same fabric as the shorts.
To complete the outfit I made a rolled rose hair clip. out of scrap fabric.

So ever since the announcement of this game by the Bendy creators, I found some interest in it, what I like is how you play as one of the puppets, how you can change outfits in game, how you can restore health if you lost any, and the puzzles. Obviously his face is styled differently because since he is a puppet, because I wanted to give him more detail and differentiate him from a human being, which was why I also put some detail on his arms and legs. His hat is actually a normal hair piece but I modified to look curled and added some sculpting to make it look similar to Woody's hair piece, except it's also more accurate to how the Bandit's hair/hat looks in game, and also his Cork Pistol is partially brick built to not only make it look more like a western pistol, but because I didn't think a stud shooter would work, if Lego brings back a western theme they need to make a new stud shooter piece similar to the pistol.
