My Punching Kitty - t shirt design:
We have a funny male cat that we named Kitty, (seriously-how unoriginal is that?). Almost everyday when I see him I will do this mock punch / fight thing with him like a movie fight scene complete with the "peeesk" punch sound I make. Kitty non chalantly meows and looks perturbed.
Stupid, yes, but it is just something I do because I am wierd.
That single act of stupidity is the inspiration for "Punching Kitty". My first idea was to have a guy holding kitty and a hugh line like at a carnival of people waiting to punch kitty. Then I came up with the thug / mugging take. I was going to have kitty kick ass on the back of the shirt but everything seemed even more wierd than before??
Then I came up with the idea of the shadows which could portend the near future or just be a karmic image of what should be.
What do you think? Is it just to wierd and random?
Taken during the Big Grin - a celebration marking the 'birthday' of Mr Punch. The date has been chosen because Samuel Pepys made an entry in his diary for 9 May 1662, noting the marionette performance of "Signor Bologna" in Covent Garden.
The Big Grin featured a parade of Professors around the piazza, a mass photocall, and then individual performances.

Punch Brothers is Chris Thile's new(ish) band and I infinitely prefer them to Nickel Creek. More sophisticated and articulate. It was a good show.

I'm liking the H dilutation a little better than B. The longer developing time lets me spread out the development and I don't feels so much pressure to monitor the time. I still do, however, it just feels more relaxed.
I think I may have bumped up the contrast a little too much with an S curve.
