The 14th Annual Pumpkin Push 5K & Family Walk took place on Saturday, October 24 at Seattle's Seward Park. I was encouraged to run this 5K by Jessica, our instructor from Southside Booty Camp. ( www.southsidebootycamp.com ).

The costumes are a GREAT addition!

The library, Princeton Environmental Film Festival, and Sustainable Princeton teamed up for Fall Fest at the Princeton Shopping Center on October 16, 2021,

Family-friendly festivities included an interactive program about animals, sustainable scarecrow making, craft and activity stations, face painting, a fall photo booth for taking family pictures, a pumpkin patch and a chance to learn some new line dancing moves.

Engage Princeton had booths set up featuring a variety of community organizations and attendees were welcome to wear their costumes.

They carved their names on them.

They had both pick your own (with a hayride down to the pumpkin patch) and ready picked pumpkins. My favourite part - you could pay by the pumpkin or get a package deal. The more pumpkins the better!

I can't get through the weekend without making something. Yesterday I made banana bread (using Mark Bittman's recipe, but adding pumpkin pie spice and chopped 60% chocolate). Tonight it's potato chips, flavored with olive oil, salt, rosemary, and some parmesan. I've never made chips before so we'll see how it goes!

From orange to white and big to small, we have every type of pumpkin you may need this fall!

they grow 'em big up there

This was a very small pumpkin and very difficult to carve without a certain amount of mutilation.
