That's right a deal has been made and
here is how I understand the deal ;-0-
No #1 has, as of today, started allowing
me to wander around outside without
a chaperone. So, if I do good today
there's always a chance I will be
maybe able to wander over to
The Mud Cobra Field ;-)-
That would be on Sunday weather permitting.
This new news knocked Pumpkin Pie
completely off her feet, or paws ;-)-
Thank you all for sticking with me
while there's been a tremor pass
through our universe then do a
boomerang and do it again ;-0
Anyway, when Sundays adventure
happens you will be the first 2 know.
Thanks for stopping by and a
big thanks 4 your support ;-)
Catch ya all on the rebound.

Just after 6:AM we arrived at the mud cobra field.
Same Same But Different, you ask ?
Well, Kinda Sorta, soupy wet mud !
Stinky swamp water & mosquitoes.
Of course Mr Murphy is hot on our heals.
In this photo a three wheel drift was done.
Front wheel ended up in a hole so I stopped,
rolled off the scooter belly laughing so hard the
dogs all thought they may not get a ride home ;-)-
The Monkey is racing around and Mr Boney
is tip toeing through the deep mud and water.
Pumpkin The Bumpkin of course knows she's
a princess and wanted a therapeutic mud bath.
Soon enough we worked our way out of this
mess and headed back to base camp where
all the dogs and scooter/sidecar are washed.
OK, lets talk about yesterday and upcoming
events. Yesterday was spent replenishing
the monthly meds. Syringes and needles
were collected along with liquid meds.
Supplies for the nuns and Mr Monk
were also purchased. Took some
time but remember we do all
the leg work keeping this
jungle dog adventure
moving forward ;-)
And here is a humble thank you for
all of you who help support the dogs.
No# 1 wife is real busy cleaning &
getting prepared for a bunch of
family members that will show
up sometime tomorrow PM.
No# 1's sister from Sweden and
her daughter Anna, plus another
close family friend are in Thailand
right now. So along with more local
family members it will be an exciting
weekend. On the 30th everybody is
heading out to the temple. The dogs
will all be vaccinated and the nuns will
be able 2 see them once again. Big Fun.
Of course it will be documented and shared.
Thank You.

Abused & Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
OK here's the new area for running the dogs.
Takes twice as long to get here but it's also
more then twice as good for them too.
Off to the right is the reservoir that supplies
water 2 our village and to the small town.
The road around the reservoir has
a solid base with lots of deep
mud-puddles, no problem.
Off to the left is rubber tree plantations.
Now you might think there's no bad
critters here, right ? Way Wrong !
The cobras and pythons
live here too ! ;-0-
But the cool part is a good road to run
the dogs while I putt along on the
scooter/sidecar watching them.
They can jump in the water
and cool off anytime ;-)-
Now don't hold me to this but you will
most likely see more photos from here.
And further more, Pumpkin got 2 shots.
Those were two yearly booster vaccines.
One more thing -
Both dogs had been running for some time.
When I stopped Boney jumped in the water.
Pumpkin jumped in the sidecar. When she
saw Boney Baloney in the H20 Pumpkin
couldn't resist and she jumped in too.
Monkey see, Monkey do ;-)---

The classic Thanksgiving dessert, Pumpkin Pie, dressed up to look like Pac-Man. Made with a Sony Rx1rm2. For more go to www.elviskennedy.com
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving! A photo of ... well the title says it all :) Counting my blessings, but I don't think I could ever reach the end of the list... God has given me a full heart. Have a happy weekend, everyone.
.
Today, the 22nd of July, I took
care of my last appointment.
The government has now opened up
the "local" healthcare in order to give
everybody, including foreigners their
covid boosters. Remember around
the end of last year I was taken a
very long ways away twice to get
the first two injections of Pfizer.
So mid morning my brother-in-law
took me over for a booster. Found
out I need two more injections ;-0-
Well today was my third injection.
Thailand is having a large up tic
in covid cases and is once
again trying to catchup.
Horse is already out of the barn !
So what does all this mean you ask ?
It means soon as this's uploaded
I'm going to take a long nap ;-)
But first lets discuss more important stuff.
Wednesday, early morning, we were in
the m/c field and it was a soggy disaster.
At 11:AM that same morning it started
monsoon raining cats and dogs ;-0--
And it has not let up even a little bit.
The river is way high, and way fast !
Many provinces have flood warnings.
So I'm thinking maybe tomorrow
early morning would be a blast
2 push our luck at the m/c field.
Haven't told no# 1 about this plan yet.
Probably wait till we're leaving to
let her know about the plan.
Anyway, I'm burning out fast.
Catch ya on the rebound ;-)

Same mud/cobra field. Same three dogs.
Different day. This morning, Feb-28th
Boney, The Monkey and Pumpkin
were all taken back to the
mud/cobra field 4 fun.
As long as it's dry we can use the field.
Soon as the monsoons arrive we stop.
Now please look in the upper left.
Who do you see coming through
the bushes ? Break time at the
watering hole. All three dogs
had their tongues hanging.

So you're wondering just
what Pumpkin Pie is up to ?
She's chasing The Pipsqueak.
Boney Baloney is also close by.
Yes this is deep jungle next to our place.
All 3 dogs went nuts playing tag-you're-it.
This is also the first time Mr Little Larry has
ever been allowed to run free around here.
It was 3 loony-toons going absolutely bananas.

Pipsqueak starting out the new year
by constantly mauling poor Pumpkin.
She just stands in one spot while her
boy toy races circles around her while
going nuts leaping and jumping about.
Ok now look in the background just
over Pumpkins head. See the bird
building ? Orange/Green squares.
Just to give you a perspective
as to where it is from here.
Backtrack through the village, cross
the river by bridge then down
the rutted dirt pathway.
Wa-La you're there.
It's the 2nd, nothing opens till the 4th.
At that time I'll make a run to the temple.

Yes sadly there was a mutiny this morning !
We'll get to that but first let's talk about yesterday.
Yesterday the 13th no# 1 her sister and our niece
went out to the monkey temple to see the nuns.
Upon their return I asked no # 1 how everything
went while at the temple. No# 1's eyes looked
quite disturbed at this easy, simple question.
Her small lower lip protruded slightly as she
started telling me her horrific story of how
all the temple dogs hate her for real and
how the nuns were laughing because
they thought the dogs were funny.
As the story unfolded when they pulled into
Mr Kind Monks Place Molly and Blondie ran
out to greet them. Soon as they saw that
Uncle Jon was not with them the dogs
got real moody and quickly retreated.
Same at the nuns place, no Uncle Jon
means no interaction with all the dogs.
Rocky even raised his head up and did
a mournful howl with a bark at the end.
Poor no# 1 ;-)-
Now we can discuss this mornings
adventures over at the m/c field.
When we were preparing to leave the house the
dogs were doing the same same, no different.
When we arrived at the m/c field the same routine
took place releasing Boney first followed with
The Monkey then Ms Pumpkin the Bumpkin.
Funny thing was they usually zip around close to
the sidecar peeing on twigs, rocks and leaves.
But this time Boney jumped right back in
the sidecar and would not get out !
Figured ok you're old and maybe today you're not
up to a morning run. No big deal Boney can ride.
Furthermore the dogs usually take off at Mack 1 speed
out front of me while I just putt along at a snails pace.
Not today !
Pumpkin and The Monkey followed real close behind
and when I stopped Pumpkin and The Monkey both
jumped into the sidecar. I finally got them out but
once again they stayed real close behind me.
Mr Boney Baloney refused to get out ? ;-0-
If there was any stray dogs in the area
all three of my dogs would give chase.
Something is greatly disturbing them.
Finally at one point I convinced them to get out
and start on their morning exercise program. But
once again soon as I stopped they climbed back in.
So I tried a different approach
that worked but only briefly.
Found an area they were familiar with
and the grass/weeds were quite low.
Kicked everybody out and shut the
tailgate on the sidecar. Couple of
minutes later Pumpkin jumped
over the tailgate and refused
to budge. This photo was
taken at the moment ;-)
Dropped the tailgate so Boney and The Monkey
could climb in and all three dogs were tethered.
Figured they were sending me a message
& my stubbornness was impeding progress.
I watched for any air scenting an didn't see any.
But there had to be some real reason they
just didn't want to play in the M/C field
this morning. Once home they ate
then as usual took a long nap.
If there had been a cobra Mr. Boney
would have taken it out in a heart beat ?
Maybe there's a Sasquatch lurking around ?
Whatever had them feeling uneasy today
is still an unknown but certainly strange.
Was it the same same but different
or different but the same same ?
Maybe I should call -
The Ghost Busters.
One last item before I forget.
You notice in the past many and I do mean many
photos were being uploaded from the temple.
The Dog Palace, monkeys and all the temple dogs.
Even The Spirit House and Spirit Cave plus the nuns.
And lets not forget Mr. Kind Monk posing with the dogs.
Once covid hit all of that slowed down to a trickle at best.
Mama and The Monkey were moved to our place for
safe keeping and now there's a constant flow of
mud cobra field photographs being uploaded.
For our safety this is the new world order.
With covid patients filling up the rooms
at The Dog Palace it's just prudent
to be cautious at this time as
well as into the future.
I notice the last m/c field photo uploaded
has a lot of views but few fav's/comments.
Hope these photos and stories aren't
getting boring but right now this is the
best I can do due to the situation at hand.
Thank you for your support and comments.

Abused & Abandoned Street Dogs.
Pumpkin Pie & Boney Baloney having
big fun playing in the jungle after hunting
an elusive King Cobra that has been lurking
around our home. The river is a stones throw
to the left, our home is also just a stones throw
behind us. Both of these dogs were rescued from
the monkey temple as most of you already know ;-)
I want to take a moment to thank all those who have
been supporting this dog saga for the last seven years.
Yes we are now starting on the 8th year of rescuing dogs.
This has been a long daunting road to travel.
Dangerous is an understatement but you can
see the results documented in the photos/text.
What takes $20 dollars a day to accomplish
has been done on $7-$8 dollars a day.
So when you hear me down on
bended knee begging for
funds you know why.
A handful of dogs have been lost along the way
due to their condition when they were thrown
away. We did everything possible for them.
Others as you have witnessed have made
a great recovery and now have a good
life while being cared for with quality
food and medicine at the temple.
Pumpkin Pie & Boney Baloney
won the lotto and now live
with us, in our home
down by the river.
We want to wish you all a Happy Holiday Season
and hope you can find it in your heart to help these
rescued animals with a donation for their ongoing care.

Abused, Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
Pumpkin & Boney jumped into the sidecar
as soon as I touched my helmet. Soon we
are on our way to the field they like to play
in. Turned off the paved road onto a dirt path.
200 meters away where the dirt path takes a
90 degree turn into this field I saw a movement.
Figured it was a stray dog so I took my time getting
to the turn. 50 meters from said 90 degree turn both
dogs started air scenting. This is a very large area which
means the stray dog has had plenty of time to disappear.
Pulled into the usual spot, dismounted, let the dogs
off their leashes. They sniffed the ground and took off.
No Big Deal -
This will give them a chance to
have a run and wear them out.
While getting the camera out I heard
the dogs. Somebody screamed and
just as fast I see them coming at me.
They passed by at 100 mile per hour, dashed
down a real steep river bank & into the river.
By the time I made it to the river bank this
dog was already going up the otherside.
We spent another 45 minutes in the field
then head back home where both dogs
are washed while still tethered in the
sidecar. This method works well ;-)

Alright, don't panic, I'll do some explaining.
Remember way way back during the floods ?
And during that time there was what appeared
to be a large wall of jungle just on the east side
of the rest area, remember ? You could not see
anything on the other-side until last year a giant
excavator came in and removed said large wall !
And what was revealed was this vast area of
small to mid size palm-oil-trees planted far
apart, as you can see here in this photo.
The rest area is approximately 50+ meters
behind me as I sit sidesaddle with my feet
in the sidecar while it's slightly raining.
OK, ya still with me ?
The three hooligans keep going till they are
way out of sight and remain out of sight for
quite sometime. Then Pumpkin Pie shows
up and plants herself in a low spot with
just her head at ground level. Notice
her rotating radar ears constantly
scanning for any sound of the
boys. And in due time one
will appear as you can
see The Monkey at
about 1 o'clock.
Pumpkin Pie's laughing having big fun ;-)
The 70-200 2.8 VR is at 120mm.
And, this is anything but smooth.
It's washboard in every direction.
Holes of every size snap your neck
jar your teeth an slam your spine !
Other than that, it's quite nice ;-)---
At this time I have no clue about
the go-f-me but when I do you
will be the first to know too.

I had just stopped the scooter/sidecar in a shady spot.
Spun around and fired from the hip. Not really a keeper
but there is a story here. It's also flat with short grass too.
See back behind Boney ? Grass ranges from 1ft to 6+ft.
In past photos you've seen a wet and grass covered
bike with wet dogs in the sidecar, right ?
What you don't see is the ground under the foliage cover.
To start with it's very uneven and full of hard clay ruts.
Many of the holes average from 1ft wide to 1ft deep.
Some are larger because there is an exception to
every rule. There's even exceptions to Murphy's
Rule of Thumb. The scooter/sidecar goes real
slow, slow like in low rider kinda slow. The
front end rises up and down as if there's
hydraulics on board. The music link
below is what's playing in my head.
"Low rider drives a little slower
Low rider is a real goer"
"Low rider don't use no gas now
Low rider don't drive too fast"
Here's a fyi, just for you ---
I have no electrical gadgets full of music in
my possession at any time. Nor do I own any.
When I roll out of bed in the morning I play a
song that fits my mood at the time. That one
song loops through my brain all day an night.
It's better then Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee
Notice the tongues at half mast ?
That means first water stop. 15
minutes another water stop,
rest then straight for home.
One last thing, imagine this place
after a heavy monsoon down pour.
Take a little chance, do a little dance.
Thank You.

Photo No# 1 of 2.
This of course is at The Mud Cobra Field.
The Pumpkin and Mr Boney called it quits
at the half way point and want to go home.
The Monkey is still zipping around chasing
bugs and birds. The scooter was started
and we slowly putted about for another
20 + minutes until The Monkey got
into the sidecar and off we went.
Quick stop at the village store
for some eggs then head
for home. Once there
the dogs get a bath.
I've lost the front brake and need
a special tool/parts to fix it so a
trip to the motorcycle shop
will happen this morning
or maybe afternoon.
Maybe tomorrow.
Lately after a trip to the m/c field
happens it will take a day or
two to completely recover.
No big deal the brake
will get fixed soon.

Abused And Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
OK, here's the story behind this photo.
About 8:35:AM we took off for the field.
It's raining with lots of lightning and thunder.
The dirt trail into the field is filled with deep ruts
and lots of nasty clay mud. Once there we didn't go
in very far at all cuz I didn't want to get stuck. That my
friends would be a real disaster. An instant night-mare !
FYI:
Any further and the grass is higher then the bike.
Plus it's wet with the ground saturated with water !
Pumpkin Pie and Boney Baloney indicated they didn't
want to hangout to long either. They did a quick poop
and pee then jumped right back into their sidecar and
told me to take them home right now and feed them.
And being a well trained man servant I did as told ;-)-
The mosquitoes are crazy here, like way crazy !
Once home both dogs were fed breakfast then
put in the house cuz of the wind, rain & insects.
Next, Miss Legs The Zoomer was loaded into the
sidecar and off we went right back to the field.
This was her first time at the mud field and
she too didn't stay very long. Poop/pee
then hurried back home for her food.
The mosquitoes zeroed right in on
her black fur an she didn't like
that one bit, Crazy Bugs !

SOOC with a slight crop ---
6;04AM we have arrived at the mud cobra field.
As we came down the path/road/trail I noticed
tractor cleats had left deep prints in the mud.
Just as we did the 90 degree left turn into
the palm oil plantation it's easy to see
the tractor had engaged the PTO
and dropped the blade.
This is way cool ;-)
Now if you remember I've been complaining
lately about the thick jungle foliage causing
great difficulty and impeding our travels ;-0
67% of the mud cobra field has been mowed.
Now don't go celebrating to early just because
the foliage has been cutback. Remember the
ground is still very rutted filled with deep
holes an divots. But, now the foliage
that was strangling us is cut back.
On the right side of this photo you can see
the mowing job. So why is the scooter
parked in this precarious position ?
Here's your answer ---
We are just putting away enjoying the new
cut path when it was decided to pullover.
"So what did I do then" you ask ?
Simple, gently pulled on the left side of the
handlebars and stepped off the bike. .No
Big Deal, it's not as if it's going anywhere.
Pumpkin Pie jumped right in the sidecar
in anticipation for a fresh hot-dog while
Mr Boney Baloney circles like a shark.
As for Mr Little Larry The Pipsqueak
AKA The Monkey, he's smart knowing
the bag of chopped hot-dogs is with me.
In due time they all received their
morning snack then off we went
doing the same same, running
and racing in one huge circle.
We circled the south/west section
of the m/c field 4 times this morning.
Lately before the mow job it was real
hard to just do one complete circle ;-0
An hour later we packed up
and headed for base camp.
The hooligans lounged around
soaking up the sun then they
were fed and put to bed ;-)
As mr heiney would say ---
"A tired dog is a good dog."
Appreciate your support and comments.

Arrived at the mud cobra field around 6:30AM.
All three dogs went bananas, running,
leaping, yelling, crashing yodeling
and playing grab ass while
zooming around like
a free bird ;-)-
And, this continued on for just over an
hour and even when we got home too.
Pumpkin Pie is watching her 6 cuz
The Monkey is going nuts crashing
into everything that moves including
old Mr Boney Baloney whos hiding ;-0
A bunch of relatives stayed here last night.
When we returned from the m/c field they
all took off for the monkey temple to see
the nuns and to check on Mr Kind Monk.
No# 1 left me with strict instructions.
I am to watchover the dogs and to
make sure they are all fed soon.
I am also to stay home and
guard the property from
any invaders that
might appear.
In other words stay home, don't run
with any scissors' in my hand and
don't eat any yellow snow ! ;-0-
They will most likely be home
around noon thirty + or - ? ?
One more thing I need to add.
All three dogs were soaking wet
from the morning dew on the
foliage. Way better than
manure bags or some
stinky dead critter.
Anyway there ya go, another slice of jungle life ;-)

Old photo with same same but different story.
Actually this is about 80 feet before I make
the 90 degree left turn into the mud cobra
field. It's always been a challenge out here.
So anyway this is about stuff happening
in our life at the present time. Oct 6th.
Mr Kind Monk is still in isolation at the
government hospital in Chanthaburi.
That's east of here by Cambodia.
When I know more the info will
be posted right here, asap.
One of our nieces' daughter who is 15 yrs old,
has come down with covid-19. They live behind
us on the other side of the pond. She hangs out
here all the time. That means she got it at school.
Which means more people have it too ! Not Good.
On a positive note - We're still getting a lot of
rain but the flooding has slowed down some.
Also the river is a bit lower, not much but a
little bit. We're still having problems with
lots of critters trying to get in the house.
But everybody is having the same
problems as us so we're not
alone there. Sun might
come out today too.
Anyway thanks for stopping by.

I made this in a rush, I had alot of stuff to do. and that is the only turkey photo I could find and I don't like it lol. Happy Thanksgiving!!

.
This photo is taken at the same spot
as yesterdays photo. It's been a down
pour around here. River has breached
the banks, trees have fallen over due 2
saturated ground but the show must go
on. So here's the deal. Once again we're
in-between down pours, more or less +/-.
Told no# 1 the temple trip is on hold.
Then told her we're going to the m/c
field. Also told her we'd be walking in.
She looked at me then said to stop at
the village store and pickup 2 bags of
rice. I nodded ok and off we went ;-)-
The tricky part started as soon as we
turned onto the dirt/road/path. Mud
and deep rutted holes waited 4 us.
A fun slip and slide all the way in.
I knew a decision had to be made
where we take the hard left turn
into the m/c field and it's coming
up real fast. I took it and made it.
Well didn't make it to far as you
can see in this photo. Deep
water awaits us as Murphy
is grinning waiting for us
to enter his wicked trap.
And a Big Ha Ha on Murphy, we stopped.
Now don't relax yet cuz we have to get
out of here too. The whole place is
soupy quagmire plus the deep
flooded areas too. The dogs
wet bananas racing an
playing the water .
Where's The Monkey and Mr Boney you ask ?
Close by. Draw a line from Pumpkins head
to the left and a line up from the bike/basket.
See the brown spot ? That's The Monkey which
means Mr Boney Baloney is also very close by too.
The owner or manager came partway into the field.
He has a Toyota 4x4 and he too was very cautious.
I've been coming here for years and always smile
when we run into each-other. Using sign-language
I had him stop about 20 meters from us as his rig
is heavy and even with 4x4 it could get real tricky.
We laugh and jabber away for a few minutes then
he heads out after seeing the situation of the field.
I keep a close eye on the waters surface watching
for any rain drops. And soon enough small drops
started to appear. Loaded the dogs into the
sidecar and the challenge of getting out
was next on the to do list. Wasn't to
bad but it wasn't to good either.
Stopped for the rice bags then headed
home where the dogs and bike are
all hosed down. Then they are
fed and put to bed. Overall
that was a good run for
the dogs. The End.
Thank You.

Just before 6:AM this morning we
had arrived at the mud cobra field.
It was 6:38AM when there was
finally enough light to use !
The two boys are racing around
being naughty little boys while
Ms Pumpkin Pie guards me ;-)
For the most part everything
went well as the crazy dogs
raced around having big fun.
Thanks for stopping by ;-)
Thank You.

Abused, Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
As you can see Mr Boney Baloneys
nostrils are a bit flared as he voices
his absolute displeasure with this !
Mr Boney is old and his naps are
very important to his well being.
When he is disturbed from his
nap time he gets grumpy ;-0.
In the background you notice
Pumpkin Pie and the notorious
Mr Little Larry The Monkey Boy.
And what is it they have been
doing that upsets Mr Boney ?
Well, they have been acting all
rowdy while chasing each other
round and round in circles while
barking like a couple of hyenas !
Couple of minutes later Mr Boney
went back to bed and soon he
was napping once again ;-)-
Thank You.

Sleep was evasive last night. By 3:AM
my eyes grew tired of reading (a book)
and I drifted off into a semi dream land.
5:42AM and a wet cold nose touched my arm.
Further in the background there's the voice
of an impatient Pumpkin telling me to get
up, we want to go to the mud cobra field.
Guilt consumed me as I staggered out
of bed. Brushed my teeth put on my
costume, grabbed a camera/lens
and off we went. The sky is
slightly overcast, this is
good, low heat. 81F.
First thing I noticed while turning onto the
long dirt path to the mud cobra field was
deep marks made from the rubber cleats
on the tractor. The ground is saturated so
the marks were deep. Once we were in
the actual field it was easy to see the
long grass has been mowed down
in 83% of the field. Very good !
It also makes it easier to see any unwanted
critters slithering around on the ground.
Also easier to see mud/quicksand
spots to avoid, there are many.
Now sense we are talking about how great
it is to have the field mowed there's also
a very negative part to this story too.
The monster mosquitoes are out in large
swarms and they are very angry today !
Not whining an sniveling just stating the facts ;-0-
Anyway there's something in this photo I'd like
all of you to notice. And that is the skeleton
structure in the background. See it ?
OK, remember back on June 4th when we
took shelter from the storm ? Well that
is where that event took place.
Yesterday the front tire was pumped full of
air and I raced to the corner bike shop.
The tire was nearly flat upon my
arrival. Less then one klick
from here to the shop.
Been going flat for the last week or two
so a mad dash was made and it turned
out to be a successful mad dash to.
Cost about $3.55 for new tube
and all the labor to fix it.
Problem is usually the rubber gives out
around where the valve stem is located.
No big deal, done this hundreds of times.
In my opinion ---
They use low quality rubber
for motorcycle inner tubes !
Alright, it's time to wrap this up
before I fall asleep at the keyboard.
But first a humble thank you to
all of you who help these jungle
dogs have a much better life.. ;-)
ps: trivia question of the week.
2 words have been used in todays
text that need mentioning ----
Humble & Pie. who here remembers them ?
Thank You.

First -
"The gofundme has not switched
over to the new system as of yet.
Please hang in there as it will be
happening as soon as possible."
This morning I made a grave mistake !
What mistake would that be you ask ?
Loaded Boney Baloney & Pumpkin Pie
into their sidecar and took off for their
run over by the reservoir. No Problem.
After that was all done we headed for
town to pickup some more supplies.
Now here is where the plan gets
real tricky - Pulled onto the main
road and was going in a westerly
direction when I noticed we were
stuck in a massive traffic jam ;-0-
Impossible to turn left or right !
So, I turned my biorhythms down
and just went with the flow. Here's
the deal - Forgot today is a way big
huge Buddha day and there was one
large parade going on. Now that means
every single road is an insane asylum ! ! !
FYI-
Even on a good day the roads are crazy
without enough room for even two cars.
So,
What I usually do is head for the furthest
destination and work my way back. This
is why you see the sidecar with food stuff.
There was 8 items on the list, I got 4 of them.
At that point the roads were just to much and
we headed home before my head exploded ;-)
I did get kibble and extra supplies for the nuns.
Next run to the temple I'm 50% ready but the
last 50% can be picked up Monday/Tuesday.
Another slice of jungle life just for you ;-)-

5:43AM and we were on the way to The Mud Cobra Field.
Rained all night, rained on the way, rained while we were
there, rained on the way home and is raining right now !
Even the high ground had standing water ! Getting in
was again a very tricky maneuver. Mr Murphy was
with our every move and move we did at a very
fast pace. Once the dogs were unloaded I
took my time and headed for the
shelter you've seen before.
The black dot you see in the distance is Mr Boney.
Pumpkin is next looking back at him and of
course The Monkey is right here.
And this is where the scooter/sidecar and myself
stayed for nearly an hour as the dogs ran around.
Figured if I was to go down between the isles of
trees disaster and Mr Murphy would be waiting !
When we left I was prepared to get bogged down
where we take a 90 degree turn into the field.
Huge mud holes made by the tractor and
trucks. Like deep sucking mud holes.
So I twisted the wick and was just shifting into
2nd gear as we blasted our way through the
gigantic sea of wet clay mud. We made it.
Ha Ha on Mr Murphy, we won again ;-)-
Upon our arrival back at base camp
the dogs were fed, scooter was
given a hose down and
right now they are
all sleeping.
To quote mr heiney -
"a tired dog is a good dog."
Thanks again for all your support.
I'm a humble k9manservant that
does all the leg work for them.

6:03AM is when we arrived at the mud cobra field.
Overcast sky with high humidity, already 86 F.
Dogs are released and off they go towards
the shelter where we meetup and things
get adjusted. Water bowl is filled and
the green bowl is filled with their
favorite snack, hot-dogs ;-)-
We hangout here for about 23 minutes
while everything has to be inspected.
Then it all has to be re-inspected.
Every twig and rock is peed on.
Next step is hang a hard left and start
carving our way through the jungle !
OK, we'll stop right here and have a talk.
You've been hearing me piss-an-moan
all the time whining about it's getting
harder and harder to get around in
the mud cobra field. Murphy traps
are becoming more common an
the thorn and red ant infested
bows are shredding me ;-0-
But, no-one is forcing me to do this.
So, all complaining falls on def ears.
I could see the tractor has been out here
recently but the blade wasn't put to use.
Grass/foliage is out of control due to
all the recent rains. .We are guests
so no negative criticism's allowed.
OK, now on to a recent event that has
been causing grief on the home front.
The "computer" is having more frequent
issues and problems even after being
taken in for a proper band-aid ;-0---
Took sometime to get it up and running.
Like a petulant child having a temper
tantrum. But in the end I won ;-)---
Well maybe winning isn't the correct term.
But in time I did get it going this morning.
Just stating the facts ! And here we are now.
Thanks for all your support with
this crazy jungle dog adventure.
ps:
Forgot to mention this but about 10-12
days ago a sister-in-law brought over
10 baby duck chicks. Lucky Duck
is not one bit happy about this.
Brother-in-law has helped
no# 1 expand the duck pen.

Explore debut December 2, 2009. #386.
Pumpkin Pie
We did not go pie-less. I made a cranberry polenta tart.
Of course, Her Royal Highness, The Sister calls at 3 p.m. - the poor thing had to work until 6-ish - and threatened to buy a pumpkin pie if none had been planned. And so at 3:30 p.m., with a few hours left to go, I busted out one of those too. Thankfully, I had all the ingredients in the cupboard.
I have to say, the basic pastry dough recipe in the Gourmet cookbook is quite fantastic.

Abused & Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
Taken a few days ago where Boney & Pumpkin
like to run. The reservoir is their saving grace ;-)
Due to the heavy monsoon rains we had to abandon
the mud/cobra field cuz the scooter/sidecar kept
getting stuck, like really stuck ! This new spot is
a little further away but much safer over all.
No# 1 has changed our schedule somewhat
but she is staying in contact with the nuns.
Weather is non-stop monsoon heavy
rain. Soon as the weather clears
we will be back at the temple.

Poor Pumpkin Pie, this's the worst ever.
Maybe even more worse than that ;-0-
Notice The Monkey and Mr Boney still
in the sidecar waiting their turn. Poor

pay for playing in the mud.

Abused & Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
So here we are down town where their
food and my prescriptions are purchased.
This is the morning market which is still
a ghost town in my humble opinion.
Smells and sounds like any other
Asian morning market here.
Plans are now being made for another
run to The Temple in the next few days.
Transportation is the key factor in doing
the run. Bike is to dangerous right now.
You will be kept informed as we go along.
Most all the supplies have been gathered.
Before I forget ---
See the 2 water bottles in the front basket ?
One is drinking water the other is a special
blend I made up for sanitizing my hands.
In the sidecar is 2 large water bottles
especially for the dogs to drink ;-)
Thank you for your comments and donations.

OK, it's Sunday night right now and tomorrow
morning I'm heading on over to the small bike
shop in the small town next to our small village.
For a few months now I've had No Brakes
on the backend of the scooter/sidecar ;-0
And yes that has been a challenge but
everything around here is a challenge !
Sense the front brakes has been our
only stopping power they will be
checked out too. There's an
old Thai saying here ---
"Cheaper to buy a horn then new brakes"
Well now it's time for some new brakes ;-)

I got him seven years ago but never took a photo of him until now. Now that the wee frogs are home, I got him out for some pampering.

Boney Baloney & Pumpkin Pie are
tag teaming on The Monkey-roo.
Funny thing is once The Pipsqueak
escapes he's like trying to catch
a greased pig, poof, he's gone.
Furthermore, once he does escape
he quickly returns and keeps
the tag-your-it game going.
He's an instigator ;-)-
