In my previous upload of Sanders Omnicity captured at Swannington working a journey on service 42, I referred to the village pump. Here we see the memorial plaque attached to the wood encased pump. The inscription reads “In loving memory of HASTINGS PARKER - Placed here by his wife for the use of those whom he loved so well - 1888” The spout is below the plaque and the pump handle is at the back, there is another memorial to Mrs Parker on the left hand face.
