The local police followed the men and saw them pull into the Owl Motel, the one with the huge neon "WHO" that has become a landmark of sorts.

The St. Paul, MN, to Shreveport, LA, freight train is pulling into Ottumwa for a crew change and work. The train has just come down Rutledge Hill and over the BNSF Ottumwa Sub. The train is stopping for the yard switch at Quincy Ave before heading in while 181 comes down the main. The single KCS is being helped out with a unit in DP.

Wheeling & Lake Erie train 663 is at the end of the line on the Solon Branch at East 91st, East Cleveland, OH. This was a Wednesday extra that ran to take stone up to a fairly new customer, Unique Paving Materials, at 93rd street and pull loads from FPT Recycler's, as seen here.

Three GP35-3's are in leading roll on this day. Rumor has it this job is going to Mon/Wed/Fri.

Thanks to DB for steering me the right direction.

Yoyoyo!

I've been going back & forth about saying anything for a few weeks but what t h I've upgraded cameras, from my screwy ebay d300 to a d610. My parents are ridiculously good people and gave it to me as a graduation present (also I graduated college; I pick up my diploma on Thursday) (!!!) since the money would've gone towards another semester had I done the reg 4 years. I feel so incredibly lucky, privileged, spoiled & undeserving, but self-pity don't do no one any good. Best I can do is continue making photos with good intentions & a good heart, try not to fuck up & apologize when I do. Bc you know I will, I'm 21 years old, I don't know shit.

Obviously the ‘better camera better pictures’ mindset is bullshit, I am in no way saying my photos will be any better. But this is a gigantic opportunity for me to grow & I am over the moon ready and hyped. More than anything I’m so jazzed to finally give clients the best quality I can manage & give you guys more variety and just more in general. !

The photo's unrelated to all that lol, just thought I'd take some time to let yall know what's up. Hope you guys are well, happy Tuesday <3

A bit of a bubble swirl in this one.

Conway Scenic 7470 pulls the 3:00 train to Bartlett today, as seen passing through Glen, NH along Rt. 302

Some adjectives I played around with but found quite appropriate when taking in views from the many overlooks in the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. Even with a focal length pulled back and some angling to attempt to capture the landscape seen, the wide angle lens I had just didn't seem to quite express and reproduce the feelings of...a vast poetic immense of boundless space. In metering this image, it was a matter of finding a location along one of the nearby canyon floors that had a little bit of shadow to get the exposure I wanted. I was then able to work with control points and color control points in Capture NX2 to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted.

With the Y119 turn from Saginaw on the drawbar, LSRC 6431 and friends pull into the former PM/C&O/CSX McGrew Yard in Flint, MI.

With the return train (and power) for Saginaw already staged at the north end of the yard, the crew will tie this train down and then hop on their return ride home. Lake State runs a tight ship, and this crew will get to sleep in their own beds tonight.

LSRC 6431 was formerly UP 4608, purchased by the Lake State in 2022.

‘CITY BUZZ’ - JETSTAR Adelaide Airport

With a displaced threshold on the main runway (05/21), requires aircraft to be up early, or pull up to avoid the works zone. This also allows for an excellent backdrop as VH-OFW to get up earlier than normal and have the Adelaide CBD come into the frame!

JQ108 to Perth (PER/YPPH) and then to Denpasar Bali (DPS/WADD) passing the Sofitel and RAA Insurance, from 05 Adelaide Airport (ADL/YPAD).

I'm close to giving up on this 365 project as a published project on Flickr and keep it as a personal project offline. I'd say the worst part about the 365 project is that on some days you just don't feel like shooting but still have to pull something out of the bag. Inevitably this means bad pictures which often leads to quite a number of 'unfollows' which is pretty demoralising for us users who only manage 100-200 followers. I'd be interested to hear your comments on this.

In a gloomy November afternoon right after thanksgiving, M452-28 pulls up to Beaver Street in Baldwin to drop off their 31 autoracks in Baldwin yard. After dropping their autoracks, they would pull all of their 117 Waycross bound cars North.

Somehow, the one of the handful of dash-8's on actual CSX mainline trackage (besides PanAm territory) would lead this train all the way to Waycross from Miami.

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the LEGO brick, I thought it would be interesting to recreate the classic LEGO wooden duck (circa 1935) using modern pieces.

Having run along the Lake Memphremagog waterfront, passed the the site of the long gone passenger depot at the junction with the former Beebe Sub, and crossed Main Street in downtown Newport CPKC train G-18 has one more chore before heading to South Yard and wrapping up their day. Having made a quick 30 mile run from Richford they have paused at about MP 58.6 on the former Canadian Pacific Newport Sub mainline, and GP20C-ECO 2261 is pulling and spotting long time customer Poulin Grain whose elevator and feed mill dominates downtown sitting just north of the railroad trestle over South Bay.

Kingsburg, Ca.

The Kingsburg Historical Society, of which I'm a board member, is in the process of moving a one hundred-plus-year-old church from the countryside to the historical society park, and then will be renovating it. I've taken over a thousand photos documenting the move, most or which most people will find pretty boring. So I shan't be posting too many, but every now and then something might spring up.

In this image, the church has arrived at the park and is being pulled into it's new site. The building to the upper right is an old country school that was also moved to the park a number of years ago.

If it peeks your interest, you may find more information than you would ever care to know at this site:

www.kingsburghistoricalpark.org

All the images on that site were taken by me.
