Disclaimer: The photo albums in this Flickr account are not intended to be collections of my best hand-picked images. Such images are included but the vast majority of images, 7600 and counting, commingled amongst the few gallery-worthy images, are snapshots, bad shots and missed shots (the bad shots containing some element of the composition that strikes my fancy despite its flaws thus saving it from the Recycle Bin and the missed shots being those photos where the exposure and/or DoF were not completely appropriate). There is trip documentation and there are pure experiments (including multiple treatments of the same scene such as different angles, different post processing, different times of day, sunrise/sunset progressions, zoom progressions, etc.). This account is basically a secondary backup location with convenient captioning, titling & EXIF capabilities.

This is one of numerous pullouts along Newnan Crossing Bypass in Newnan, Georgia. Apparently this was in anticipation of roads and/or subdivisions to be built along this main road. What I don't understand is: Why paint the road marking lines? And you can't see it (out of frame), but there are also stop signs at every one of these.

Note also that this road and these pullouts were built so many years ago that I can't remember when. At least 10 I would guess. They have been like this ever since.

Green Ridge trail pullout, inundated by dropped vine maple and other blowdown. This will probably get cleared out when the Purple Hope claim miners come in for the summer.

Good demonstration of how much room the pullouts add.

Taken from the car pullout 8 miles east of Llano, Texas on Texas Highway 29. This is the smaller of the two adult eagles at the nest. Female bald eagles are 25% larger than males.

This will have 4 pullout drawers that are at least a foot high each. I don't think that's particular efficient storage. Maybe one foot-high drawer. But seems like more drawers designed for conventional can heights would have been much more practical.
