The pullout just before southbound Interstate 17 drops from the Mogollon Rim into the Verde Valley boasts one of the most captivating views to be found in the American West.

This is a roadside pullout on the Petrified Forest Road. No road remains but the utility poles are still there. The present-day Route 66 can be seen in the distance. This section was re-routed onto I-40.

Educational signs at the viewpoint/pullout at Rainbow Point, the southernmost pullout on the Bryce Canyon drive. I wanted to remember this stuff. I did not get the photo that pointed out that some big predators (coyote, mountain lion, a couple of others) were found at all the heights.
