So I'm obsessed with puddles, and the floor-as-tripod angle, and messing around with plastic underwater cameras.... Only 1 thing to do - combine them all!
A rain storm early in the day created a huge puddle at the corner of 6th Ave. and 53rd St., down the block from the Museum of Modern Art. By night, it made a great reflecting pool for the buildings along the Avenue.

Another fun part of PUDDLE is shopping from other collectors. Byronic Herione has been a vendor at past PUDDLEs and was selling some her remaining stuff. We ended up trading our stuff as she bought some of my odds and ends. And I bought a partial stock from TrueFan.
We live on chalk downland, and as such most water drains away quickly. We had a huge storm on Saturday evening, and so on Sunday there was a bit of standing water about. At the bottom of this dip is where I slipped over, thinking I could pick out safe passage through the puddles.
I was wrong.

The Custard Factory is an historic quarter of Birmingham, The one time Birds custard factory is now a cultural hub with a lively young vibe. Quality graffiti is encouraged with some outstanding artworks on display, in stark contract to the more common 'tagging'.
It's a lot of fun to walk around and look at everyone's dolls. I enjoy seeing how people customize them. But it's also neat to see some of the rarer dolls or brand new ones in person.

My mission today was to take a photo of the rain. I did not succeed. I took many lovely photos of wet thing, but no rain. I would like to try rain pictures again, especially macro + rain.
However, I do absolutely love puddle shots. This is not a particularly good one, due to the low light, but I put in 365 for today to express my intention of take more! Especially some puddle portraits.
all the stuff I got at PUDDLE this year. Three new dolls on the left, existing dolls with new things on the right. Front and center is the first-place trophy for the Dress Like Your Doll contest.
Oh...and some Nerd Girl Yarns fiber. :) two Fiber of the Month shipments gotten in a trade - Sailor Scouts in the back and Venusaur in the front.
