The Bulls Head was a once-proud landmark situated at one end of Bloxwich's Promenade Gardens. In January 2016 the pub provided me with this little photo of a bull's head emblem which could be found adorning one of the external walls. The building at the time was in a state of considerable disrepair and it has since been demolished.
We've moved on to an old spit 'n sawdust, 2 pints for a fiver pub. At one point Barry asked for tequila or sambuca and was told "it's not that kind of pub".

By the 14th Century, trades guilds had become prosperous and powerful. In towns where particular trades were not strongly represented, various such tradesmen would form composite "Odd Fellows" guilds. after suppression of the guilds towards the end of the reign of Elizabeth I, Freemasons and Odd Fellows survived by adapting to a social support role. By 1911 the Odd Fellows were the largest Friendly Society in the world. Many pubs are named after them, presumably used originally as lodge meeting places. The Latin motto is a corrupted version of the society's motto Amica, Amor, Veritas - Friendship, Love, Truth, symbolised by the three linked chain.
