The Cambridge, as we see it today, was built in 1887 but there has been a pub at this address since 1744, when it was called the King’s Arms. The name of the pub comes directly from the time when prince George, the Duke of Cambridge, opened Charing Cross Road. The junction with Shaftesbury Avenue took his name and became known as Cambridge Circus.

I absolutely love it here having spent many happy hours relaxing amid the friendly ambience and traditional fixtures and fittings.
