The maltings is on tanners moat, York. It's a very old pub that dates back to 1842, it was originally called the railway tavern, then renamed the lendal bridge hotel, it was painted black in 2012, it's a very popular people pub, it's well liked by the campaign for real ale, and many tourists who flock to York

Two of the Sentinel steam waggons which were at Beamish for the 2017 Great North Steam Fair were taken for a short run to the pub around the corner from the entrance to the museum.

The two waggons were :

WV 4705 - Alfie Cheynes S4 dropside in the livery of Banff Distillery / James Simpson & Sons, Works No. 8933

The Bankes Arms, Studlandm Purbeck, Dorset. Covered in greenery all round the roof and walls. Also the home of the Purbeck Brewery in the yard at the far end of the pub just out of sight. Reputed to be from th16th century with a rich history with tales of smugglers over ther years.

Some pubs in the main street in Kilkenny. I especially enjoyed the "John Cleere" (on the left side). The "Anna Conda" (right side) had been voted "Best pub" in 2004.
