In cute little Greenwich, this pub epitomizes a proper English Pub (in my mind). But what do I know, I grew up in Nashville, TN 😎

Another from my holidays, love that lake, always so peaceful - wish I was there. Well we have been put in local lockdown from Tuesday, no people allowed in our houses or our gardens but we can go to pubs and restaurants and my youngest has to go to school - in the next borough that isn't in lockdown (which the border is incidentally a few yards from our house). So I am confused as to what we can and can't do because the rules are frankly open to interpretation and totally unworkable! Somehow I need to run a business through this and most of my clients are over the border. Rant over. Stay safe everyone.
Pub de Puerta Cinegia, Zaragoza
[Esp. / Eng]
Just as the gods lose their grip on time
there's a twilight for people
But I've found the perfect grave;
it has three beer taps
bathed in gold, to deliver*
(I'm not referring to the sexual meaning)
its cool tsunami-like froth
*The original verb has ambiguous meaning in Spanish slang

One of the local pubs just over the bridge.
Nearby are small shops to visit and more.
The inn has seven en suite bedrooms, each with colour television, telephone, tea and coffee tray and hair drier.
In selecting your bedroom, you can choose to overlook the river at the front of the house, or the green fields backed by the mountains at the rear of the house.
Besides the dining-room, there is a large lounge with an open fire and two attractive small bars.
The Tanronnen has long held a reputation for its high standard of cuisine and the homely and cosy atmosphere. Packed lunches are provided on request. The inn is open all year round and the dining-room is open to non-residents.

At any pub, there can always be a bit of a scuffle to get your favourite bar stool when it is busy.
A small flock of thirsty galahs, taken at the edge of the Murray River in Mannum, with a backdrop of weeping willows in their lovely golden autumn tones.
For Macro Mondays theme 'Drips, Drops and Splashes'.
This Drinker Moth caterpillar (Euthrix potatoria) is named for its habit of drinking water droplets from the coarse grass stems on which it feeds. This individual appears to have drunk from the water droplet behind it, then crawled along to the next drop.
Very much a right place/right time shot! This species is found throughout the UK, quite common in the south but less so up here in Scotland - a bit surprising, considering its preference for damp habitats! I was lucky enough to spot this caterpillar one morning in between all the rain and showers we have had lately. I thought it had enough curiosity value to make it preferable to the image I had already finished for this week's theme.
Fuji X-E2 plus Mitakon Speedmaster at F0.95. There was very little light to work with (and using the flash was out of the question) which forced me to shoot wide-open and at a very high ISO number. Some images are very grainy indeed, but that is of no concern as long as the image can 'speak'.
Re-edit of ancient photo. We get stuck into this endless cycle of upgrades, but the Canon 5D was probably all I ever needed.
The small village of Flamstead (about 1300 inhabitants) in Hertfordshire has two pubs in the direct vicinity of St Leonard's. Leica M8, Elmar (collapsible) 2.8/50.
A lively scene in Ruins Pub, the Crossroads area of Kansas City, with 52 self-service beer taps and a menu of Hungarian food. . .worth the visit when in KC!!
Four of the twenty three traditional pubs in Whitby are shown in this collage. Of course there are a good number of newer bars but I'm a traditionalist at heart so have concentrated here on what I would deem proper pubs. Long may they prevail.
From left to right we have The Dolphin, The Board Inn, The White Horse and Griffin and the Black Horse.
I have geotagged Church Street, Whitby, as all four pubs are on that street or close by.
