PSYOP students in the 80th Training Command's Psychological Operations class practice skills they learned in the classroom with role players at the Milpitas MOUT site, Fort Hunter Liggett, California, June 19, 2019. Each team of three Soldiers and Marines ran through four lanes with different scenarios designed to test their skills in information-gathering, trust-building, and fostering good relationships with people of another country. They interacted with the chief of police in the city of Pine Branch and convinced him that treating prisoners more humanely would help his community trust him more.
1/3 of the PSYOP vehicles assembled in the plane. Ours was the first plane to arrive in Kuwait. For awhile, we thought we would be the only PSYOP members to invade Iraq. Our plane broke down at Moron AB in Spain, one broke down in Italy, and the third was delayed several days. Of course all the ammo that was assigned to PSYOP was on the last plane. The Marines gave us ammo though so we didn't have to worry.
