This aircraft like its 531 brothers served the USAF in Vietnam with the 20th Tactical Air Support Squadron in the Forward Air Control & Psychological Operations (PSYOPS) from 1969-1973. 178 O-2A's were lost in Vietnam War.
She would serve the USAF until 1987.
The O-2A had Four MAU-3A bomb rack hardpoints. Which could be equipped with SUU-11/A Minigun Pod's, LAU-59/A Rocket Launcher or MA-2/A Rocket Launcher or

A 345th PSYOP Company Soldier races to the target after completing his first jump, Aug. 7.
Six teams from the Fort Bragg headquartered command, U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), participated in the 56th Troop Command, Rhode Island Army National Guard annual competition, Leapfest! 28.
Fifty-three total teams from around the world competed in this year’s event, 48 U.S. teams and five international. Leapfest! is the oldest static line airborne competition in the world. The competition is based on how fast all four members of a team can reach a target after jumping out of a CH-47 Chinook. Out of USACAPOC(A)’s six teams, three teams came in the top 20 for fastest times.
The six teams consisted of three teams from the 450th Civil Affairs Battalion stationed in Riverdale, MD, a team from the 345th PSYOP Company (Dallas, TX), USACAPOC(A) Headquarters and Headquarters Company (Fort Bragg, NC), and the 404th Civil Affairs Battalion. (Fort Dix, NJ).
