Can the sky be on an LSD trip? Looks like. At least I got this impression during my visit to this little known fire lookout last June.
While capturing this 360° panorama, the airglow was so strong that I was able to see it with my naked eyes. When the images popped up on my camera screen, I shortly wondered whether the colors weren't caused by a northern light. Of course, this is impossible under the Milky Way arc in Northern California, but I am still not sure if the strong reds along the northern horizon weren't caused by an Aurora display extending this far south.

Some amazing coloured crops seen on the South Downs near Bury. I have no idea what they are but the colours are sooc - no slider action here.

After too many wet or windy days and days with poor light it was great to take to the sky again.

A Challenge for the Challenge 30/11/2024 - Breakfast !!
Well a real challenge this week , I do not usually have a breakfast and do not take to taking pictures of food as a rule . First idea was to treat myself to a bacon and egg mc.muffin - not had one of those since May 20th 2022 when I had one on the way to an aviation photo workshop at Old Warden Airfield !!
That never worked out and never got the mc.muffin , but what I did get was two shots in the local supermarket - one of a very colourful bunch of flowers and one of a cereal box top !! All week I have had Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast by Pink Floyd going round in my head so a starburst of the flowers and a cut out of Kellogg's were merged and job done . Kellogg's is a brand name synonymous with breakfast cereals , so I hope this passes muster for the challenge .
And so to Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast -----------

Adventures in bubble play has me wanting to experiment more. Now that our cold weather is settling in it's time to stay in and play. I used a light panel but want to try using a flash and experiment some more. Any tips on how to get sharper results? I used my macro lens and a 36mm extension tube. Maybe I am too close?
