For the past couple weeks, I have been busy doing the final audio mix down for the first independent film that my best friend Craig and I made. We originally shot in 2004, and it has taken us forever to get the picture edited, locked, and all of the rest of the post production that a film requires.
I didn't really have any free time over the weekend to shoot some SP's, primarily because I was sitting in front of ProTools, finishing up everything and getting ready to export all the sessions into final mixes. That is, until I discovered that I am missing one crucial file from Craig.
I've also been going to work on a regular schedule, since I can't really afford to take time off to do all this stuff (part of why it has taken us three years to make a damn film), and I would rather not use up my vacation time on this.
Anyways. Tonight was the last night to finish up work, and it's all done now. Huzzah!

This is what I normally look like when I'm not busy touring. I've been recording a lot the past 2 years. Last year I won the grand prize on OurStage.com. With that money I was able to buy a bunch of recording equipment and have been pretty self-reliant ever since. I've mostly recorded for other people (Anthony Walker, Joanna Burns, LadyKiller, Phil Bensen, & Michael Askin). This summer I will be taking the time to record my songs. I'm mentally preparing myself to dive into it all. Gonna be good!

Green Screen Studio
Legendary Neve VR60 console. This console features Total Recall and Flying Faders. It is complemented by a Digidesign ProTools HD system, outboard processors by Urei, Focusrite, SPL, TC Electronics, Lexicon and monitoring by Blue Sky.
The Turkish guys were fun to hang out with and they knew how to get a good drum sound, since they record in that place all the time. We recorded the drums and bass to a 1" 16 track and then bounced to ProTools.
110/365 - July 15, 2012 - It's Sunday, which means church. And that means time to mix sound for the live video stream. We just got a new mix board...an Avid Venue digital mix board. It's awesome!!
Side note, for the first time in...well....a LONG time, I'm actually posting a 365 picture on it's day instead of several days to a week behind! YAY ME! :) *pats own back*
