Today I lost all the protools files I've been amassing for my upcoming album due to a faulty external hard drive. 12 tracks of piano, rough vocals and clicks...gone.
But you know what? I have a delicious apple to eat, a fiance that makes me laugh every day and a career doing exactly what I choose. There is nothing to be sad about :) Just more work to be done.
Oops. I had left my 35mm prime on manual focus, and didn't catch it until I'd already fired off a few frames. Normally this leads to useless photos, but in this case I ended up with at least one that I liked. She's got an ethereal quality to her between the beams of light and lack of focus. No edits other than my stamp.
When Technology fails you, You go to your roots. For kids of today, these damn computer will be their roots. Sucks for them.
Mitch opened his own operational studio complete with Protools and Reason software, studio mikes, soundproofing and such.
I had the pleasure of having to record the great guys of Donut Brothers (www.donutbrothers.dk).
We had a great night, and got some good tunes tracked, and while they were playing, listening or reviewing the recordings, I snapped some pics of them.

Turns out the owner of the venue I was at also had a full fledge recording studio. I believe he said the console used to belong to the Eagles.
Options to record to 2" or to ProTools.
