The top device is a Universal Audio tube mic preamplifier - a very nice sounding unit. Below is a ProTools Digi002 interface.
Be careful, those Pro Tools sessions are getting mighty dangerous. Please pay attention to the Health and Safety Guide.
I had the pleasure of having to record the great guys of Donut Brothers (www.donutbrothers.dk).
We had a great night, and got some good tunes tracked, and while they were playing, listening or reviewing the recordings, I snapped some pics of them.
(REALLY digging B/W for pictures from recording-sessions)
The class that is going on here, Studio Concentration, is basically an excuse to get to work in the studio one day a week, mainly to get hands-on experience with high-grade equipment, and also to hone recording techniques. To this end, the class (which numbers around ten people) picks five or so cover songs to record, working on one a week. Last week was a Roots song, and next week's is Rage Against the Machine's "Without a Face" (which I'm going to play drums on); but this week was Matchbox 20's "Real World". Ryan played bass on it (as seen in this picture), while another guy, Gary, played guitar and produced the session. Another guy came in to play the drums (and did a fine job), but regrettably I've forgotten his name.

A pallet of Eleven Racks arrives at Sweetwater Sound - a welcome sight since they've been so hard to get!
This is my mobile recording rig. It is powered by Pro Tools LE version 7.1 and allows 16 simultaneous tracks to be recorded with a max track count of 32. Mic pre designs by Neve, API, Trident, and Universal Audio. Also traveling with these cases are 24 microphones, KRK V6 monitors, and a myriad of mic stands and cables. All this fits in a Honda Civic mind you.
