Avid Protools 10 is uit!

Met een nog hogere geluidskwaliteit dan hun voorgangers!

I had the pleasure of having to record the great guys of Donut Brothers (www.donutbrothers.dk).

We had a great night, and got some good tunes tracked, and while they were playing, listening or reviewing the recordings, I snapped some pics of them.

(REALLY digging B/W for pictures from recording-sessions)

This is what I normally look like when I'm not busy touring. I've been recording a lot the past 2 years. Last year I won the grand prize on OurStage.com. With that money I was able to buy a bunch of recording equipment and have been pretty self-reliant ever since. I've mostly recorded for other people (Anthony Walker, Joanna Burns, LadyKiller, Phil Bensen, & Michael Askin). This summer I will be taking the time to record my songs. I'm mentally preparing myself to dive into it all. Gonna be good!

Yamaha Dante PCI card. Red for primary, purple for backup. Also has a ProTools card not yet hooked up in this photo, and an AES legacy card that will come out.

One of the media trucks in the outdoor pavilion at the NAB this year was a tractor rig from Toronto that is a giant audio production studio on wheels.

Loaded up inside is a 48 fader SSL digital control surface for the ProTools system on board. The truck has the ability to record up to 96 audio tracks simultaneously for broadcast events, and even has an ISO booth for voice over work.

To my right in the photo, part of the side of the truck extends out to provide space for a producer to sit back and oversee whatever is going on.

It was pretty damned awesome, and I. WANT. ONE.

Works with ProTools. Nice to be able to ride a fader without needing a whole console.

This is the Presonus Bluetube DP on top of the M-Audio Firewire 410.

Vestry Hall Studio 2 features a Digidesign Control 24 console, Protools HD3 and Logic Pro, a range of hardware and software synths and an AMS/Soundfield microphone. The Studio is designed for tracking and mixing to both stereo and 5.1 surround formats.

Meet my band's drummer. Accually, for its size it sounds really good going into ProTools. This Drum Machine is what I use when I record my music.

I bought this at Mars Music in Tampa Florida when I used to work there.

Our Pro Tools LE lab (Pro Tools Lab 3) features sixteen Apple MacBook/Digidesign Mbox 2 based portable workstations to support the early learning stages of the Digidesign Certification curriculum. Each of IPR’s two Pro Tools|HD labs (Pro Tools Labs 1 & 2) boast five self-contained Digidesign/AVID integrated systems. With Pro Tools|HD2 Accel on all ten systems, and five with the Avid AVOption|V10 video interface, each powerful station serves as a fully independent audio/video editing and mixing system.
