The College of Music and Fine Arts features two recording studios used in our music industry studies degree program. The studios feature Digidesign Protools, Apple Logic Pro, and recording consoles by Solid State Logic and Digidesign. The studios have isolation rooms and a wide selection of microphones and outboard equipment.
These are the microphones I use to record my acoustic guitar playing. I got a great deal on these at Guitar Center in Tampa, Fl. I got these early in 2012 and they do have a really good sound through Pro-Tools software.
You can hear one of the songs I composed for my wife's Youtube videos called "Flittering". I used these mics to practice recording both the classical guitar parts you hear.

I still need practice mixing in Pro-tools as you can tell by the bass level.

Ik ben op zoek naar een goede, bondige inleiding.
Denk aan de trailer van een film, of de achterflap van een boek.
Een paar zinnen die niet alles verklappen, maar die je de juiste kant opsturen, die nieuwsgierig maken.
Om tot de kern te komen ben ik met een tippexpot door de originele inleiding gegaan.
Op dit werklog, maar ook de rvu site, stond maanden:
Een homoseksuele schrijver ontmoet een ongewoon Amerikaans meisje.
In het kader van de openheid leek mij dit goed.
Als je homoseksueel bent, moet je dat niet vergeten te vermelden.
(Emancipatie.)
Zeker nu, vanwege de actuele en verontrustende ontwikkelingen.
(Geweld.)
Maar, bij nader inzien, denk ik: wat is dat eigenlijk, een homoseksuele schrijver?
Schrijft hij homoseksuele woorden?
Met een homoseksuele pen?
Op homoseksueel papier?
Is Flick Radio een homoseksueel verhaal?
Nee.
Hier die tippexpot!
Ik verander de homoseksuele schrijver in: een man.
Punt.
Staat meteen veel beter.
Het is een detail in het verhaal.
En details horen niet thuis in een inleiding.
Plus, Flick Radio gaat over heel andere actualiteiten.
Inmiddels zijn alle teksten opgenomen.
Dat wil zeggen bijna.
Ik ben nog steeds opzoek naar een Engelsman, met een Portugees accent.
(Als ik een Amerikaanse teenager kan vinden, moet dit ook lukken.
Hij heeft slechts een paar zinnen, maar toch.)
De werkwijze is nu alsvolgt.
We zetten alle teksten en dialogen "schoon" in de juiste volgorde.
Dit doet Jaap Vermeer.
Deze mega-track, bestaande uit enkel tekst, wordt vervolgens getransporteerd naar de computer van Marco Raaphorst, die zich verder ontfermt over de sounddesign: de geluiden, de vormgeving, de muziek.
Dit is een heel nieuwe manier van werken voor mij, in deze volgorde.
Meestal gaan in het proces de stemmen gelijk op met de geluiden en de muziek.
Nog nieuwer wordt het als Pepijn Kortbeek zich binnenkort aansluit en zich gaat ontfermen over het beeld.

This poster is a part of the original and inspired OSC Manifesto. OSC was the company that created the first harddisk multitrack audio recorder and mixer (Deck) for
the Macintosh (years before it was possible to edit sound on a PC). Deck was later adopted by Digidesign and developed into what finally became ProTools, the state of the art non destructive harddisk recording software on our planet! I am the proud owner of both the original OSC Manifesto poster (http://helge.krabye.com/inspiration.php) and a Digidesign ProTools HD2 Accel system in my studio.
