A long weekend is here ... and on the long weekend is V day ... There will be lots of proposals floating around ... and there will be lots of people running away from them :D ...
P.S.:: I know this is not a great pic ... so don't criticize it much ... show some love towards me :D
Here is Julia who seems to be very attracted by the face that I drew on that wall.. While she was flirting around with Mr. Chalk her boyfriend actually dressed up for some other pics.
The Amtrak booth focused on their HSR proposal for the Northeast. We need an Amtrak HSR plan for the Midwest.
......of course the answer was yes!
(not a planned or posed photo.. but it is from the exact moment Maike proposed, so it has sentimental impact for us)
It's easy to scoff at what perhaps isn't the classiest proposal in the world. It's hardly down on one knee, he's not exactly looking her in the eye, and I love the way that the enigmatic Mark has signed it, presumably so as to allow Candice to differentiate it from the hordes of other proposals she might receive that day.
But what the hell, the guy seems to have found love and at least he's had a go at doing something special. So, however reluctantly, this man salutes you Mark.
The question of course remains unanswered...what did she say? Answers on a postcard please :)

Maegan was gracious enough to agree to marry me. I asked her while we were on a
cruise through Ha Long bay in Northern Vietnam -- possibly the most picturesque
place I've ever visited.
Her star-sapphire ring responds beautifully to direct sunlight, so I delayed
for almost two hours waiting for a break in the clouds before asking. The
anxious and complicit photography crew on the top deck of our recreation junk endured seemingly endless small-talk and finally a series of sun-salutations that proved successful at busting the clouds open. (Thanks for your patience and support Mike, Steven, Cat and Mez!)
After Halong bay, we put together our bicycles and rode along National Highway 1 down Vietnam's central coast from Da Nang to Nha Trang. It was amazing.
