I’m not much of a bird person, but I may turn in to a bird watcher, if I’m not careful.
If you would like to see more from this day at the park click here...http://joandayimages.wordpress.com/2011/02/04/bird-crazy/
When I have some reading or work to do, I sometimes go to the beach or the park to get away from the computer and home. Today, I went to El Dorado Park to work on proofreading a book for a friend. I’ve been trying to get to it, but something always comes up. I’m not a great proofreader, but I told her I would do it.
So, camera and book in hand, off I went. I was reading and watching the birds. Actually, I wanted to get some more interesting pictures of the Canadian Geese, but all the other birds offered something more.
As the sun turned to a golden yellow, as it does in the late afternoon, I slowly walked to the water where the Great Blue Heron was still in the shallow water. I noticed a small bird with a long pointy beak near him. I had never seen a bird like this at the park. I don’t know what it is. If you know, feel free to leave a message below. I’d love to know the name. Soon the Heron took to the air. I just looked up his wing span on Wikipedia. It says it’s nearly six feet. Wow!
As the evening came to an end and the ranger drove around with the loud speaker announcing the closing of the park, I thought I’d take one last picture of a bird that had just flown into a nearby tree. I think it is a hawk…remember, I’m no expert birder. I really like this picture the best of the bunch.

How often do you read your email? You probably check your inbox at least two times a day, if not more, much like other people. In the new economy of the Internet, email is a great way to reach customers and attract business. The follow tips detail some of the best email promoting strategies developed to date.
Before sending any emails, be sure to proofread them thoroughly. It is imperative that your emails be error free. You should also test the email's layout to make sure everything shows up correctly. Don't forget to test any hyperlinks in your email, too. Make sure those links work properly.
To get your consumers excited when it comes to receiving emails, give them special discounts or promotions through the newsletters that you send. This email strategy has the dual benefit of rewarding your customers for their subscription to your newsletter and inspiring them to recommend that their friends and family do the same. Referral programs can be beneficial if you wish to increase the amount of readers that could become customers.
You should use all types of resources, and learn as much as you possibly can concerning email marketing. There is a wealth of information available online about this. You may also be able to find local seminars or workshops to attend pay attention to the classifieds and bulletin boards.
In order to increase your customers' excitement when it comes to receiving emails, you should try providing special discounts and give limited-time promotions with your newsletters. These types of emails will provide your customers real value and encourage them to tell their friends about your company. You should consider creating a referral program for your customers so that they can get an added benefit for forwarding their emails to friends.
One of the best ways to communicate with customers is through marketing with email. Take the information you have learned here and apply it to your own e-mail marketing campaigns to help you achieve positive results. Using email to promote your products or company can simplify your marketing strategy. highway2zenith.com/aweber-review/

"C'mon Ims, i've given you your present. You have to give me mine now."
-hangs mistletoe above heads-
"Alexis, you're such an idiot."
-walks off with present-
Yessss, it's nearly christmas everyone!
And to celebrate I finally got a move on with Stitches 1.2, i got it back from my proofreader yesterday and I started taking pictures. I've done 10 today. Woop, lol.
So to celebrate me actually working and Christmas I made up a little scenario in my head and did a picture.

Choreography/ Performance: Kane John Mills
The individual works’ titles are The Mask You Wear, It keeps me up at night. & Divulge.
The Mask You Wear is heavily influenced by Kane’s long-term health conditions, delving into the façade that people create in order to maintain a false but more idealistic perception of themselves. What happens once you no longer have it in you to sustain this front?
It keeps me up at night. examines an imagined thought process that could occur if someone you knew went missing.
Divulge shares honest & dishonest things that no longer have to stay unsaid.
Recent NSCD graduate Kane John Mills is a Plymouth-born emerging choreographer and dance, theatre and installation artist. He has twice been the recipient of PDSW’s Young Choreographer’s Award, enabling him to create two works with mentorship and funding. He is also passionate about psychology, writing and proofreading/editing and aims to have his own inclusive company in the future.”

"Let's Dance to Joy Division" by the Wombats
So I was sick today, and just made a little collage of everyone from "Viva" on paint because I was bored. It's all the main people of chapter two, minus the DJ (I just loved that picture). Hopefully they all seem familiar (except for the DJ, who is of no importance whatsoever, and Marni, the girl on the far right).
Anyways, I am so bored right now that I'm going to ramble on about nothing and give you guys little hints as to what will happen to each in the second installment of "Viva la Vida" ...in song!
Yeah. I really am going to look up songs for each character that describes their situation. Being sick sucks. =)

Oh, and I've sent the first draft off to the proofreaders. I'm lollygagging on the photos but I promise I'll start working on it soon! And by the way, I'm still deciding what album cover to kind of mock for the cover. I was thinking the "Even If It Kills Me" one from Motion City Soundtrack, but I'm not sure...if you have ideas, just tell me!
oh, and i was so bored i bombarded my own picture with notes. yuppers

Sign for prescribed burn is interesting for a number of reasons:
1) No fire or smoke seen, smelled or heard in the area
2) Sign has makeshift info tube - but no info
3) Less-official, crude, and not proofread paper sign accuses reader of being a thief
4) Is the Forest Service really spending money on camera equipment to try to catch a sign thief?

Officina Plantiniana
The Officina Plantiniana soon became the largest printing house in Antwerp. In 1561 Plantin already had four presses and his Officina was already one of the biggest on the continent. In five years' time, Plantin printed 260 publications. In 1563 his success story really begins. Around 1575, the company was at its height: sixteen printing presses, 20 typesetters, 32 printers, 3 proofreaders and a number of sales staff and domestic staff.
