This shot is from the show “Proof” at Steel River Playhouse. This show was performed on the second-stage of the theater, a loft area above the black-box main-stage. This is a small venue with no curtain, bare brick-wall in the background, and minimal stage lighting. This show actually had the most substantial set that I have ever seen up there in the form of that platform “porch” that you see. The shows here in the loft are usually just set with tables, chairs and a few props.
This is from my Canon 5DmkIV with the Sigma 50mm f1.4 lens. I really like that Sigma lens. Although for personal shooting I usually use Av-mode, for theater work I set the camera for Tv at 1/100 and start with ISO-400. I also have the camera set to ISO-override however, so as in this case, when the maximum aperture isn’t enough, the camera bumps up the ISO on a shot-by-shot basis, in this case to 1000.
This loft stage is a very "intimate" setting, and I was in the second row of the audience to take this.

Future Proof is a scenario based, meta-narrative project that speculates a hyper-globalized urbanism based on fictional, future scenario. Centered around globalization as the apex of civilization, the project references the myth of the ‘Tower of Babel’, where the progress of humanity was viewed as hubris and hence, destroyed by the act of god. The setting for the project includes, transnationalism, global territories, global commerce, and superstructures.
SCENARIO ‘The Fall I - VI’... “when the global civil war, fought for the world’s natural resources, brought down much of the remaining, physical face of the city and beyond, nature establishes dominance on the face of the earth once more. Plants, animals, and even man, returning to their primitive side for survival, begins to re-establish their long lost, emergent relationship with their surroundings...” The image of the fallen ‘Tower of Babel’ is embedded in the background as a mythical reminder of the past, present, and the future.

Inspired by kristin~mainemama and camera shy mama, I captured proof that I was suited up and poolside this afternoon. Doesn't happen often, but it was so hot. The pool felt great!

For the most part, Mom and Dad have succeeded in teaching her that she cannot feed me from the table. However, once she is finished eating, she now says "Zah, Zah!" This apparently indicates that she's done and wants to get down from the table to feed me the leftovers.
As you can see, she's a messy eater. I get lots on spaghetti night.
