I totally love Val's photos from the desert. It was hard to convert to my surroundings though, me living in a big city. The only thing I could come up with was this minimalistic composition. I think I like it.
During my search for pics to meet today's prompt, I found these pics with these papers tucked away...so I scrapped them!
What and awesome day for me today!! Sold!!Fun and fab kit and die cuts from the digital Creative Memories Kits.
I have finally discovered how to be flexible! This is HUGE for me because I have never been able to touch my toes. Not even when I was little and now I can!
I have been doing wii yoga every day to try and gain flexibility. I have had horrible back pain. Daily back pain. No idea what was causing it. My back hurt so bad it sent pain all the way down to my toes. I felt the constant need to stretch. It was overwhelming and as much as I stretched I couldn't fix it. I was going mad with pain and grabbed a scarf, put it around my foot and straightened my leg. I just hold my leg in the air with the scarf and it's such a nice stretch. It really helped the pain and I was able to sleep.
I ended up skipping yoga and woke up with no back pain. I then did yoga the next day and woke up with horrible back pain. Skipped yoga and no back pain. No more yoga for me. If you are stiff as a board I definitely recommend the scarf trick.

Spring boredom prompted me to visit some towns I actually never went to in New Jersey, Califon was one of them. While crossing the bridge, I noticed an old building with something painted on the side, I continued to investigate and finally found that the Painting was a dated advertisement for a company selling feed and farming supplies.
My 6 year old daughter decided today she wanted to join in. She's been off sick and is bored. I am hoping she will carry it on but not sure if she will once she goes back to school and has homework.......although this is MUCH more fun!!
Such high (and easily reachable) point as this pass certainly prompts the existence of thousands of prayer flags.
We added our part to it and brought two strings of flags, one bought by the other groups members, the other made by the priest at Takshang Goemba, who we had asked for blessing the flags and who then decided that his own flags could come with us to fly in the continuous winds of Chelela.
49/365 - XOXO - I like the idea of selective focus behind today's prompt. It's my favorite way to focus. From the first time I figured out how to use it, I've never gone back (same with BBF!). Since we were snowed in with no school yet again, I decided to use today's prompt to give the girls a reason to get their hands on some paint. I printed off some giant Xs and Os and they were more than happy to get busy! :)
LOAD13 Prompt "Hobbies Past" Rather than scrap about the myriad of crafts and hobbies I have or have had, I decided to scrap about the friendships I've made because of my hobbies...
Journaling reads:
When I think about the hobbies and crafts I have been obsessed with over the years, I think the most important thing I have gained from my creative life is the real friendships that have been formed. Back in 2006, after I had become online friends with a wonderful group of girls through a digital scrapbooking group we all belonged to, we decided after getting to know each other for 2 years we should finally meet in person, most of us were within 2 hours of Melbourne, but we also had a member of our group in Woolongong and also one from the South Island in New Zealand so it was a little hard to just drive down the road and meet. It was nerve-racking before the gathering, wondering if we would get along, wondering if people each other were what we imagined and whether the online bond we had formed would flow through in real life. We were all feeling this way, but in the end, we all got on like a house on fire, for me personally everyone was as I had imagined them, it was such a wonderful feeling to know that these women are there for me in my creative life and as real friends also...In this picture we are missing two of our group members as they departed before bthe picture was taken. We have met several times since then and although our digital scrapbooking group has disbanded we are all in contact on facebook regularly and still plan more ‘scrap’ weekends in the future.

I don't have any heritage photos of my own family yet (my mother's hogging them ;) and I'm not ready to scrap my MIL's photos, so I used one of the oldest I've taken. circa 1982
