Spent 9 hours second shooting a wedding with a photographer friend of mine. The bride chose to take all their pix outside in spite of high temps being 14* F! She had a beautiful bouquet of pink roses and white carnations that didn't quite survive the temps. In the hour+ that we were out (We warmed ourselves in the car periodically) the poor bouquet was frozen stiff and the carnations were a bit brown for the wedding (the roses didn't suffer quite as much) but I'm thinking people didn't notice too much and they look great in the pre-wedding photos! :)
One morning when I was relaxing drinking my morning coffee just before another busy day I noticed this stripe in the sky. The simplicity and the peace struck me. (People traveling so high).
Pitta filled with basmati rice, pearl barley and puy lentil salad.
Very tasty, it had chargrilled vegetables, slow roasted tomatoes, turmeric and cardamom too. Can you tell I'm reading the pack?

The sun had come out so Olivia wanted to re-take her Shadow photo-prompt.... Taken by Olivia (age 10)
In this mirror i wrote the word inspiration. The reflection of something else can inspire you to do something or become someone and grow as a person.
I was playing around with poses against the window and ended up really liking how it turned out especially after editing it
The keyholder and churchwarden came promptly to hand over the key to this modest village church, the first of several fine spires, this one a lovely fancy perpy one, with recessed pinnacles, the N chapel is a lovely modest piece of late perpy work as well, it is now used as the church proper in the winter as it can be semi-sealed off from the rest of the building. The pulpit is a lop sided perpendicular one, clearly not made for this position, heavily painted and varnished by the Victorians but now thankfully partially restored. There’s a good WW1 memorial, I’m paying more attention to them in this Centennial year. The master reserves special venom for the E window by A K Nicholson, declaring it ‘terrible in its total neglect of the revival of technique and style in respond to the essence of stained glass’, I’m sorry, Nicky old chap, you lost me there!
In response to a photo prompt of "Light My Fire" I photographed lighting a match from a wick in a 3-wick candle.
In this image the match caught less than 1/8 second ago, showing that the initial plume of fire was down, toward the source of heat that initiated it.
As soon as I heard iMyke mention Mario on episode 31 of The Prompt as I was driving to pick Hamish up from school, I paused it because I knew he'd enjoy it as he did with the Incomparable #177. He's a 7-year-old Mario addict! Thanks to @5by5 for keeping things clean so Hamish can enjoy these shows with me on the school run!

Prompted by an email from my son in San Diego, I dropped in at the Lucky 13 in Alameda to sample Old Rasputin Russian Porter on tap.
Just as advertised, it was dark and tasty with a great head of foam.
Forgot to take a photo of this before i went to paint. And i broke rule #1 right away: fussing way too much. Hoping to attempt the alternative approach, which is drawing in ink first and measure in pencil over the top.

It's no surprise to those who know me how crazy I am for those smoochie faced pugs! This prompt was all about " falling for " and therefore I borrowed some adorable images of pugs off Flickr to demonstrate all the reasons I love them. Pugs #1 through #7 belong to the following:
