dreaming of spring on this cold winters evening, nunnington hall, yorkshire

Amazing how next spring is neatly packaged and waiting! - bud fully formed. I think that one is a saskatoon as they always have the furriest spring buds.

Found in an out-of-the-way part of eastern Pennsylvania there exists the remnants of an abandoned amusement park that closed in the 1980s. While even a few years ago the land on which the park once sat still had buildings such as the beer hall and playhouse, the land is basically nothing more than wilderness with a few meandering asphalt paths. The beer hall is completely gone and the playhouse is nothing more than cinder-block rubble and rows of rusted chairs.

In this collage I mixed a random hanging electrical outlet along with the remains of the park's playhouse. Today there is nothing left other than piles of cinder-blocks, an old ice machine, and the sign from the play Promises, Promises, which is presumably one of the park's last productions in the 1980s, when the place shut down.

Why do people talk so much, when often they are not capable of carrying out everything they say?

One of our kids from Nicaragua

Hey baby, when we are together, doing things that we love.

Every time you're near I feel like I’m in heaven, feeling high

I don’t want to let go, girl.

I just need you to know girl.....

Mother nature promised me the sun today! Grrrr! The sun did pop out yesterday for a few hours but I had some stuff to finish and while waiting for Tina, I shot (NIP) this birdy up on the tree. As you can see from the exif data, it's perfect! ISO stayed low, I got plenty of light for the camera to work with and I love how this image turned out.

But, guess what, I went out today and nothing but lousy weather! Yeah, I got close to those "usual" mergansers but the camera stayed at ISO 3200 the entire shoot. Bummer!

When will I see this Nikon D300 "shine"?

Disgruntledly yours,
