A promise to recycle plastic bottles, which are banned from landfills, at the 2009 NC State Fair in Raleigh.
The brochure promised “mud, mess and mates”, and that is exactly what the 2007 Junior Bike Ride delivered to nearly 300 intrepid challengers on Sunday 24 June, as they cycled 10 miles off-road through Bracknell Nature Reserve in Windsor Forest to raise money for Norwood. Days of rain leading up to the event ensured that the participants, aged 7-14, as well as their family and friends, had plenty of puddles in which to splash about. Around £20,000 was raised for Norwood, a leading UK Jewish charity supporting children and families with learning disabilities or coping with social difficulties. The Bike Ride was sponsored by the Jewish News/TotallyJewish.com and Tribe.

I love purple flowers (and yellow ones!) and couldn't resist these very early irises so I could watch their colour unfurling.

No soy una guerra que vencer
soy un corazón al que enamorar.
I'm not a war to conquer
I'm a heart that love.

"Listen carefully: Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces itself many times over. In the same way, anyone who holds on to life just as it is destroys that life. But if you let it go, reckless in your love, you'll have it forever, real and eternal." John 12:24 MSG
The pink tulips seemed to show a hint of spring in the very strange winter we're having.
I like the way the DOF made the back flowers seem like a blur of the front petals.
The other day, it was storming, and I was in my room, writing in my devotional journal. I noticed it started to get sunny, so I glanced out my window to see if there was a rainbow. There was, so I grabbed my camera and ran out to the living room. The best part of it was that as I was writing, I was thinking about how God had been answering prayers that day and just how awesome He is, and then I see this rainbow. God has perfect timing, for sure.
Jeremiah 29:11 - This Bible promise is the basis for the naming of this new quilt, for a young lady names Honesty. Isn't that a beautiful name? I think she needs a bit of encouragement and this promise was made for that: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We can all use a promise like that!
I made this quilt all from scraps symbolizing the way God takes what we consider to be rags, leftovers and of no account and turns them into something beautiful. The rotating bands symbolize that there is no direction we can go where He will not be with us. And the diamonds show us right in the center of His will.
Honesty loves purple so that is the feature color. But the beauty of one color is intensified by contrast so a bit of teal is added. The fabrics are patterned with flowers and butterflies - symbols of hope.

As promised, here’s a few photos of the finished Minuette. Power is supplied by the recommended Cobra 2814/16 motor, 33 amp ESC and a 10x8 prop. Servos are all Corona 238MG’s.
As noted earlier, I modified the kit a bit by reinforcing the fuselage rails with carbon strips. I also went with a wood dowel to tie to the two elevators together.
Per your suggestion, I used the Diacov 1000 fabric to cover the wing/tail surfaces and was well pleased with the results. I found the covering very easy to use.
I hope to maiden the plane soon waiting for calm weather. Great kit as always from OSMW.
