This was the toughest episode of YDIL that I have pulled together! It took weeks to complete! This is the finale for season 3 and I though it would be nice to include these wedding photos!

The paths here were delightful and the views were good. Sadie had mentioned the Promised Land and it was on our map - it is a farm. For some weird reason if I don't make an effort I call it "Paradise Lost".

A lot of buds of Lotus I have seen bloom in this pond at a local jogging track, but never got to see them in full bloom....this time though I was lucky....it seems somebody forgot to take these home!!!!

first ever trip to RHS Garden Harlow Carr.....

ok, i promised some updates featuring buildings with honest to goodness architectural significance, so: here’s a building with honest to goodness architectural significance. it’s a rare oscar neimeyer designed round spaceship building in the middle of l.a... tmblr.co/ZHkOLwIuriFE

An Azalea bud getting ready for spring. Azaleas and rhododendrons develop their buds in the fall from which the clusters of flowers emerge in spring.

Way down the hill behind our house. You can JUST see the tumbledown chainlink fence that demarcates our property line. The park is beyond. NB- The Grindstone Creek is still frozen and snow covered but the walking path is virtually clear of snow/ This all happened over night with a +10c overnight temperature and warm wind from the south!

Ok, ok I'm done, I promise!

I promise, this is absolutely the last shot of Yoni in this outfit. I throw al the other pics away of this serie. ... you'll wait for me only, scared of the lonely arms.

Surface, far below these words

Maybe, just maybe I'll come home

Who am I, darling to you?

Who am I?

Going to tell you stories of mine

Who am I?

Leaf Buds ~ Tewkesbury

I promise to be your friend,

I promise to give you loves and kisses,

I promise to make you laugh and smile,

I promise you I really am not vicious.

I promise never to lose your trust,

I promise to never let you down.

I promise to never give you a reason to doubt me,

and I promise to do my very best to never make you frown.

I promise to be gentle to all dogs and humans,

You trained me right after all.

I promise I won't let let you down.

Don't be discouraged when others think I'm out to maul.

I promise you I'm full of courage,

Although I can act like a baby,

I promise to never sleep on your bed,

Well...that one's a maybe.

I promise to be loyal,

I promise to protect your home,

I cannot promise to keep my tail under control,

but I promise you'll never feel alone.

I promise my unconditional love,

and I promise to never let you forget it.

I cannot promise that I won't steal your heart,

But, I promise that you'll never regret it.

Inspired by Eddie and all of the amazing Pitbull poems on the internet of course, some are real tear jerkers! :'(

We are discussing Animal Welfare, dangerous and restricted dog breeds, and pet ownership laws in class this term. Got me all fired up again.

Abundant promises are easier placed in a world surrounded by beauty and sun.

I promised on a previous upload, taken from the rear of the Railway Inn, to provide a view of the frontage of this fine building dating from the late-Georgian/early-Victorian era, and this is it seen from the arch of the former tram depot. Opened in 1837 as the Railway Hotel, it was built to serve the London Road Station of the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway which was located on the side of the road where I am standing. Closed as a pub since 2005, the Grade II listed red cumbrian sandstone building has planning permission for conversion to retail use on the ground floor and four apartments above, the plans drawn up requiring an extension to the rear of the building. The Inn was popular with railway workers during the many years that the depot at Upperby was operational and was just around the corner from the Upperby shed engineman's lodgings accessed via Tyne Street, just out of view to the left. Undoubtedly also a popular venue in its heyday for workers from Cowans Sheldon cranemakers next door, London Road Goods Depot opposite and the former tram depot, from where I took this image.

Not Promised Tomorrow

Italian Water Gardens, Hyde Park, London

While in hospital Sandra promised me she would make me pretty again when l got out of hospital.

I kept telling her l was ugly and looked like Frankenstein.

Well. Yesterday she got me ready for Church.

I guess all the little girls there have been asking about me. And she has been telling them l would be back prettier than ever.

I almost cried when l looked in mirror.

It's the most girly l believe l have ever felt.

Paid price later. Should have worn my neck brace

And yes. All the stuff behind l wore. Pretty in Pink💗💗💗💗

Posting and running... I will visit you all soon... ♥

Thanks for stopping by... :-)

Tune: the promise

There's a dark cloud rising from the desert floor

I packed my bags and I'm heading straight into the storm

Gonna be a twister to blow everything down

That ain't got the faith to stand its ground

Blow away the dreams that tear you apart

Blow away the dreams that break your heart

Blow away the lies that leave you nothing but lost and brokenhearted.

'Being here outshines taking something from here. In our first few million years we learned nothing about how not to hunger. We have no clue how not to take.' ~ Seth Kantner, Shopping for Porcupine.

~Shot as part of the Tarkine in Motion project :

Over the Easter weekend, 70 artists were on location in Tasmania’s Tarkine, capturing the wild and scenic beauty of one of the last great wilderness areas on the planet. The Bob Brown Foundation is producing a stunning 30-minute documentary portrait and roaming exhibitions of the art created during Tarkine in Motion.

These images, interviews and subsequent art works will be central to the Bob Brown Foundation’s campaign to advocate for a Tarkine National Park and World Heritage listing.

Bob Brown Foundation’s Jenny Weber said, “The time is right for the Tarkine to be protected as a National Park, providing a promising future for Tasmania’s economy and environment. This bright future stands in stark contrast to the current damage being wrought on the Tarkine by logging, mining and off-road vehicles.”

The mining industry has suffered a significant downturn due to the low iron-ore price. Companies have left a legacy of destruction in the Nelson Bay River and walked away from promised jobs. Forestry Tasmania is logging the world’s second largest temperate rainforest at a loss to the public purse and a tragic loss to globally unique ecological values as the Tarkine’s rainforests are a Gondwana relic. Some off-road vehicle users are behaving recklessly and damaging rich indigenous heritage on the Tarkine’s wild, remote coastline,” Jenny Weber said.

“Curating a team of skilled artists in this remote wilderness area of Tasmania included recruiting the assistance of 39 photographers, 3 musicians, 20 multi-disciplinary artists and 7 videographers. This is a strong statement that the Tarkine is highly valued for it’s natural and cultural values. The arts community of Tasmania stand side by side with the people of the west coast in their love of this place. We could have had 700 artists, such is the interest and potential for this beautiful, wild and diverse place.” Dan Broun, Curator of Tarkine in Motion said.

The Bob Brown Foundation is campaigning to have 450,000 hectares of the Tarkine declared a national park and World Heritage Area so that future generations can enjoy the Tarkine’s outstanding natural and cultural heritage.

Raising $10,000 for Tarkine in Motion was a huge success on crowd-funding platform Pozible, reaching that goal within five days. In the final days of the crowd-funding campaign, additional income will help to fund exhibitions of Tarkine in Motion.

Sydney’s Head On Photo Festival has accepted The Bob Brown Foundation’s Tarkine in Motion exhibition, a gallery is booked and the premiere will be on 27 April in Sydney.
