How do you play video games? I'm just watching some friends play... I'm not into them myself. My strategy is to hit buttons until I die, so sometimes it's more fun to observe good people.

For those who think that the Smart Phone Projector is operated by complicated electronics that needs to be hooked to the smart phone, this is not the case. All that you need to do is to clip the smart phone at the back of the device, and you could already get an amplified image that can be enjoyed by the rest of the crew.
This minimizes the battery use for your phone. In fact, you can watch videos with your friends with ease as the lens of this simple box can amplify an image up to 10 times. For £11.95, minus the stress on your battery, the Smart Phone Projector is a practical accessory for your phone.
A mysterious golden projector sits in an abandoned chocolate factory in Northern France. The only person is the strange caretaker who seems to be taking a nap so we don't ask any questions (also, we're a bit worried about the deformity).
Apparently he (or someone else) is a big film buff as there are reels of old French films scattered throughout the abandoned factory.
The creaky piece of equipment you see here is a Fumeo X900. This double-band projector is a couple of decades old and screens full frame super-16mm film stock. It's currently in use on the smaller of this cinema's two screens.
Transferring all of my super eight film into digital, its taken most of the winter. Got a simple and effective set-up. Found a good use for the D800 it takes incredibly good movies once ya get the setting right.
so, i found this old portable projector that formerly belonged to an insurance salesman. it has all these old films for pitching insurance. this frame is from one entitled, "passport to independence". the wife is pissed that her husband spent all the money in the "sugar jar".
i am giving up flickr for lent, but this year i am doing the easy version where sundays count as mini-easters. so, see you sunday.
Dirty Projectors live at the Barbican, first half playing the Getty Address and the second playing songs from Bitte Orca! Really amazing show, grooving to Stillness is the Move and rocking out to Useful Chamber. Good times
Obviously, this needs some work. The DVD player, the projector on an old milk crate, and the FM transmitter that a friend bought for our drive in movie project. The sound is pretty good broadcast to a boom box at the foot of the bed.

This is my projector. I really should have cleaned it before taking photos. It was a birthday present about 5 years ago. It's really nice to sit back and watch movies being projected up on the wall. But, it's so much more versatile than that, something I may not have really realised when I first got it.
Tonight I used it to project a picture of Rudolph onto a piece of paper hanging on the wall, so that I could trace it, to make a 'Pin the Nose on Rudolph' game for a Christmas Party. I have done that sort of thing several times over the years, and it makes things a lot easier for people like me who have no skill in drawing!
Tomorrow night a friend is borrowing it to do something special for his wife. I won't spoil it just yet, in case she happens to read this, however unlikely that may be. But it is nice to be able to help with things like that, or with movie nights for youth or other church activities. It has a DVD player and speakers built in, so it is very convenient for transporting and taking to events like that - one power cable and you're set!
So today I am grateful for my projector. Thanks Grammy and Papi!
This is the great packaging that made Margaret pick up the Fortuna projector at some forgotten yard sale or flea market. I remember us laughing at the distortion of the projector being so much larger than the girl. (In truth it's about 4 inches tall.)
But I only rediscovered the magnificence of the slides themselves a little while ago, when I found this again in the attic.

Remodeling has made it possible to stand far enough away to take pictures of both Simplex XL projectors and the one-of-a-kind film transport system.
