Spent the past few days working on the sea, with oils.. Almost happy with it... Will re-work the foam/splashes in a few places, apply a murky yellow glaze over everything which should link the foam to the sea better....Then work back into the foam again......and then ofcourse, start work on the figure, umbrella, shark, background, and all the other elements..
Slowly - but progress none the same.
Excellent Olympic exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. My advice though is to have your coffee at 'Notes' at the bottom of St Martin's Lane rather than in the gallery cafe.
Spray painted the chair (needs another coat). Covered the IKEA cushion pad with plain double crochet Rowan yarn with carefully selected colour combination. The granny squares are a work in progress cushion cover in same colour scheme.

I've been making myself practice my bass at least an hour a day. Right now I'm working on being able to play and sing at the same time. So far,I can play two Rilo Kiley songs (Pictures of Success, The Execution of All Things) all the way through while singing.
Practice makes...well, not perfect, but improvement...
