It has been so hot that it's hard to get to good shots. Some were taken in the mid afternoon and some in the evening. Just documenting the progress of the garden for the midseason point for the year.
Progress on painting a super-quick jellyfish scarf. Fiber reactive dye and Tsukineko acrylic ink on silk crepe de chine.
I like to start with a few 10 pound bowls and 7 pound plates and then make about 10 35-50 pound bowls. The smaller bowls and plates get me somewhat warmed up for the larger pieces.
i really have no idea what to think of this.
i was just listening to nin and experimenting with photos.
nin music really encourages me to experiment
and try new things with my photos. one of my favorite
things to do after midnight is listen to nin. i really cant
listen to them at any other time, honestly. so tell me
what you think, my monitor sucks so i cant see everything
like alot of you can. but whatever.

Just checking on how it's looking before the early service this morning. Biggest change this week has been the sheetrock work, really makes a difference. Still hope to be finished for our Easter service!

Downtown Schenectady has come a long way in the last 220 years. I'm not sure it's really quantifiable as "progress" though.

The Gloucester Waterways Museum's tug "Severn Progress" in Gloucester Docks. The tug was built in Bristol in 1931 for The Severn Canal Carrying Company to tow trains of "Severn Trows" , fuel tanker barges and narrowboats on the river above Gloucester. She was origianally called just "Progress" but was renamed in 1934 to "Severn Progress".

I've been making myself practice my bass at least an hour a day.
Right now I'm working on being able to play and sing at the same time. So far, I can play two Rilo Kiley songs (Pictures of Success, The Execution of All Things) all the way through while singing.
Practice makes...well, not perfect, but improvement...
