Cossham Birth Centre, in Kingswood, is scheduled to open in January 2013. These pictures show progress on building work in October 2012.
Mums-to-be who are having a straightforward pregnancy and would like a natural birth, may be able to choose the homely environment of the Cossham free-standing birth centre rather than a traditional hospital setting.
Facilities at Cossham Birth Centre have been designed to provide comfort and support in labour and include:
* 4 en-suite birth rooms furnished with floor mats, cushions and birth balls to support you
* A water pool in each birth room, should you wish to relax and/or give birth in water
* Entonox (gas and air), TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation), aromatherapy and Pethidine to help with labour
* A double bed in each room so your partner may stay with you and your baby after the birth
* Use of a communal kitchen and dining area where light snacks will be available
SASEBO, Japan (Jan. 15, 2016) Rear Adm. John B. Nowell, commander of Amphibious Force U.S. 7th Fleet, sits down with Sailors aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay’s (LPD 20) Mess Deck to have lunch and give them an opportunity to ask him questions. Nowell visited Green Bay to meet with Green Bay’s Sailors and assess the progress of maintenance during Green Bay’s Selective Restricted Availability (SRA). Green Bay is attached to the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group and is currently in an SRA in Sasebo, Japan. About 4 years after the old Parcelforce building was demolished and about 2 since construction work was started, this apartment block is crawling towards completion. The development is not to everyone's liking though, being so tall.

Having only just left Rigby Road Depot Blackpool Transports Progress Twin-Car 864+674 stands on Lytham Road, waiting at the traffic lights before crossing the over the main road onto the Promenade.

'Seatruck Progress' is one of a fleet of similar vessels which operate a Ro-Ro freight service in the Irish Sea. Here she leaves Langton Lock, Liverpool, on a sailing for Dublin.
Progress on my Halloween costume. I am some sort of horned monster thing. YES I WORK ON HALLOWEEN COSTUMES IN JULY.
The district's new 7/8 building continues to progress. On May 23, members of the board and administrative team toured the new space. We look forward to seeing students walking these halls in August!
