Our class has been hard at work creating games. From throwing water balloons to hitting dragons we have a wide range of games, and a very talented group of campers.

25 volunteers showed up for a fun evening of appreciation on Feb. 9. Volunteers gave close to 3,000 hours in 2016 and helped with completion of 30 projects and helping in the Seedling Tree Nursery.

APEC Climate Center hosted the 2016 APEC Research and Technology (ART) Program with the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) and the International Environmental Research Center (IERC), and the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) between June 7 and June 10 at Centum Hotel and the APCC headquarters in Busan, South Korea.
The subject of APEC ART 2016 was “Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Change Adaptation and Innovation Platform.”. The presentation session was organized based on priorities identified by the organizing institutions that climate change adaptation and innovation platform, responding to 17 sustainable development goals proposed by the United Nations in Sept. 2015.

A Prefeitura de Iguatemi, através da Secretaria Municipal de Assistência Social e da Coordenadoria do Programa Bolsa Família, realizou na terça-feira, dia 31, uma reunião com as aproximadamente 500 mulheres beneficiárias do Programa Bolsa Família.
Durante o encontro, foi realizada a abertura a 4ª Campanha Municipal de Enfrentamento a Violência Contra a Mulher, com uma palestra proferida pela Ex-Secretária Nacional de enfretamento a violência contra a mulher, Aparecida Gonçalves.
Usaram a palavra também a Coordenadora do Centro de Referência Especializado de Assistência Social, Paula Bett, a Coordenadora do Programa Bolsa Família, Maria Emilia Dias, a Secretária Municipal de Assistência Social, Chrislayne Martins, a Soldado Paula, da Policia Militar, o Investigador da Policia Civil, Ricardo Amaral, o Promotor de Justiça, Thiago Barbosa da Silva e a Prefeita Patricia Nelli Margatto. Houve também uma apresentação cultural da Igreja Evangélica Congregacional.
Ao identificar casos de violência contra a mulher, deve-se entrar em contato com o Disque 180 e denunciar o fato às autoridades competentes, ou entrar em contato com as Policias: Civil ou Militar.
Assim, a mulher vítima de agressão receberá apoio e orientações sobre os próximos passos para resolver o problema.
