**UPDATE: 7/22: Georgie has been adopted! Yay!
One of a litter of five, Georgie is a definite cutie! He is very loveable and social. He loves having the children hold him, and is great around the other cats!
Georgie is confident, playful, and inquisitive. He seems to be the ringleader of his litter and is always looking for someone to play with! Georgie's most unusal feature may be he has a little bobtail! We don't know whether something happened to it or if he was born that way, but that makes him pretty special!
Georgie is currently in a foster program where he lives in a school Animal Therapy Program. He lives with other cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and an assortment of other fun animals! Georgie is cared for by children with disabilities, who feed, groom, and socialize him. He has been excellent our children of various abilities. Prior to adoption, he will be neutered, microchipped, and given his first round of vaccinations. We are located in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Council continues to support our Financial Assistance Program because it directly benefits local community groups who would not normally qualify for any government assistance.
This year we are distributed $84,689 across 78 projects throughout our community.
Projects range from recreational activities, painting classes, theatre productions and dance and music therapy, to cultural and teaching children environmentally sustainable practices, mental health support groups, support for people with disabilities, and arts programs.
The projects reflect the diversity of community life in our City and support a wide range of issues of concern to Council and our residents.
They are also a sign that as a community, we are working together to ensure that for many people our City of Canterbury is truly a great place to live and work.
