The Forest Investment Program (FIP) Pilot Countries Meeting held in Oaxaca, Mexico June 12-14, 2016 brought together over 100 participants from all of the 23 FIP pilot countries. A mix of participants from government, private sector, civil society and indigenous peoples and local community groups together with colleagues from the MDBs, gathered to foster peer-to-peer learning among FIP pilot countries on practical issues related to the design and implementation of FIP investment plans and other forestry activities.
A few months ago there even was a sign on the door of Hamilton Library for the LIS Program area. The interiors of the LIS Program's space are nearly complete, but electricity and fire alarms need to be installed.

Property owners and managers gathered for a special recognition program on September 11, 2015, in HUD’s Philadelphia Regional Office. They were recognized for their efforts in supporting the regional office’s Multifamily Homeless Placement Program, which encourages property owners in HUD’s Multifamily Housing inventory to adopt a homeless preference and to lease units to families and individuals experiencing homelessness.

In this section I have decided to include photos from our study visit to Edinburgh, Scotland. Although these are photos not from London where we currently study the trip is crucial to the study abroad experience as it is part of the Hansard Program. They organized private meetings with current politicians in the Scottish Parliament and the Welsh National Assembly (on the trip to Cardiff, Wales) to shed light on the political structure not only in Westminster (London), but also in the countries that are part of the UK, yet have their own policy-making bodies. The first minister’s questioning usually public and takes place once a week and we were lucky to witness the heated Scottish parliamentary debate on the implications of Scotland leaving the UK in light of Brexit. So, we visited Scotland at a very interesting and certainly very important time. We have met with the members of both parties, the Scottish National Party and the former leader of Labour Party, so we have heard both views on the topic, which was very interesting.
