Tras una intensa jornada de capacitación, siete nuevos profesionales del programa Servicio País Vivienda de la Fundación Superación de la Pobreza, que durante marzo se integaron a trabajar en tres comunas de la región de Antofagasta: Tal Tal, Mejillones y María Elena.
La FSP está presente en Maria Elena y Taltal hace dos años a través de su programa Servicio País Linea de Habitabilidad, período en el cual se ha favorecido a 340 familias de la región. Este año comenzó la intervención en Mejillones. El trabajo de la FSP cuenta con el apoyo de la Seremi de Vivienda y el Serviu de Antofagasta.
“Para un mejor desempeño de estos entusiastas profesionales, hemos organizado una jornada de capacitación, donde cada uno de los encargados de los programas con los que trabajan el Serviu y la Seremi de Vivienda, explicarán y aclararán las dudas de los procesos a seguir, para que las familias de estas comunas se vean beneficiadas con el apoyo de estos jóvenes”, señalò el Director (s) de Serviu, Juan Emilio Santiago.
Asimismo, la Directora Nacional del programa, Mabel Alarcón, destacó el modelo de gestión coordinado entre los tres organismos ejecutores de esta intervención social, “estamos muy satisfechos con este ejemplo de trabajo en conjunto y cooperación con la Seremi de Vivienda y el Serviu. Creemos que la cooperación público – privada es clave para potenciar los recursos, para concretar los planes de desarrollo y para superar la pobreza que afecta a nuestras comunidades”.
Entre los nuevos profesionales que se integran a estas comunas hay arquitectos, trabajadores sociales, constructores civiles, geógrafos e ingenieros. Ellos vivirán y trabajarán en la región hasta marzo de 2011.
En Taltal, están asesorando y acompañando a más de 200 familias en un gran proyecto de vivienda y barrio de integración social en el borde costero, que ocupará una gran superficie urbana de la comuna y que beneficiará tanto a familias en situación de pobreza como a familias de clase media.
En María Elena los profesionales Servicio País Vivienda se encuentran apoyando la reconstrucción en Quillagua luego del terremoto de Tocopilla el 2007, y además están acompañando la recuperación de inmuebles patrimoniales y asentamientos completos con proyectos de mejoramiento urbano como en la Plaza de Armas y feria municipal de María Elena y en la Plaza de Armas de Quillagua.
Con la incorporación de Mejillones este año, el programa busca atender la creciente demanda en vivienda de la comuna, producto de la gran cantidad de familias que han migrado a la zona por la construcción del megapuerto y otros proyectos industriales asociados.
Resultados
•Siete nuevos profesionales del programa Servicio País Vivienda de la Fundación Superación de la Pobreza (FSP) en las comunas de Taltal, Mejillones y María Elena.
•Esta intervención social que ya ha beneficiado a 340 familias de la región, es posible gracias al trabajo conjunto entre la Seremi de Vivienda, el Serviu de Antofagasta y la FSP.

Today we installed and learned the basics of Python. Our students found out how specific they need to be with instructions. We could tell this camp is filled with hard workers and we can't wait to see what they create this week.

More than 300 guests heard from board members, University of Missouri administration, producers, veterinarians and program pioneers. Mun Choi, president, University of Missouri System, presented during the program.
