Norwood Elementary students stretch, run and play exercise games at an after-school program. The student body is predominantly Latino and has several kindergarten students who weigh over 100 lbs. However, the school runs seven different special programs on physical activity and health education ranging from 7am to 6pm.

The Seabiscuit program took place on August 2003 at Countryside.
Seabiscuit's former jockey lives locally and he described the world of thoroughbred racing in the 1930s when Seabiscuit was the “all-star” of all time. He shared a scrapbook filled with his racing career highlights and shared many memories. The library was filled to capacity that day.
Programming 3b is learning so much! Today they learned about Tuples and Dictionaries along with Classes and Objects. We used cookie cutters and Play-Doh to understand the Classes and Objects topic.
On December 9, 2016, the Arboretum and Public Garden had the opportunity to welcome a group of students from a journalism program in Visalia CA. The aspiring young journalists had the opportunity to interview our Museum Education & Interpretive Manager- Maya Makker, GATEways Outreach Students- Vivian Le and Rachel Le and our Outreach and Leadership Program Coordinator- Melissa Cruz.
Lummi Nation began participating in the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) self-determination demonstration project in October 2021. Lummi Nation manages several treaty-reserved fisheries off the Washington coast and will be providing a variety of local seafood items to FDPIR participants through the demonstration project. O Jovem Senador é um projeto anual que seleciona, por meio de um concurso de redação 27 estudantes para vivenciarem o trabalho dos senadores. A edição deste ano teve como tema “Os 200 anos do Senado e os desafios e o futuro da democracia”.
Secretaria de Comunicação Social do Senado Federal (Secom) apresenta aos professores orientadores de 2024 o funcionamento do setor.
