Our campers had a great time during the first week of Westminster Summer Programs, enjoying camps such as basketball, tennis, art and the always-popular Camp Wildcat.

El viernes 14 de junio a las 20 la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional, en el marco del Programa Ibermúsicas, brindó un concierto especial en el Auditorio de Belgrano (cabildo y Virrey Loreto), con entrada gratuita. Para esta presentación fueron invitados el director colombiano Germán Gutierrez y el pianista brasilero Marlos Nobre, como solista.
El repertorio abarcó obras de compositores iberoamericanos (a excepción de una obra de EEUU).
Este concierto se enmarcó en los objetivos del Programa multilateral de cooperación Ibermusicas, entre los que se cuentan:
Promover la difusión y producción de la obra de los compositores iberoamericanos: impulsar la valoración en la diversidad y riqueza cultural presente en las Músicas Iberoamericanas; apoyar la formación de nuevos públicos para los espectáculos musicales iberoamericanos y promover la circulación de solistas y directores en los circuitos de la región.

The Theater Program presents D.W. Gregory's 2003 drama Radium Girls Dec. 1-3, 2016, in Chiles Theater.
Set in 1927, the play is a fictional account of the real life "radium girls": female factory workers lethally exposed to radium following Marie and Pierre Curie's famous discovery.
It is a fast-moving courtroom drama that asks important questions about the ethics of corporate America, science, and commerce, and the position of women during this interesting time period in our country's history.

Our IKEA chair is supporting a seated figure reading a book while filled with breakfast which is being transformed into food energy. As one of the few high schools with a breakfast program in the city, Norman Johnston students KNOW the importance of food to their education. Food feeds the body and helps the mind function fully. Our inspiration is our daily breakfast and the volunteers who bring the program to life every morning at school. We also studied different sculptural materials through viewing a variety of artists’ work, in particular the work of Bendette Mori Ubalcini . We really enjoyed working with the chicken wire frame and painting the paper maché food.
The figure does not have any specific characteristics besides being smaller or younger. This allows everyone to be able to relate to the figure. It is transparent so that the viewer can see the true nature of the transformation of food to energy in the figure. The food has been painted realistically to convey the fresh goodness of our breakfasts here. Brass wire has been woven throughout to convey food energy transformed into golden brain power needed to learn.
Motorcyclists read the program at the annual 2014 Memorial Ceremony on May 26, 2014 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery reads the program. O programa visa qualificar a recepção aos pacientes do SUS-BH, humanizando o atendimento. En la cancha de uso múltiple de la Unidad Educativa 5 de Mayo, se realizó un programa especial de integración de las personas con discapacidad del Proyecto Chone Incluyente, ejecutado mediante convenio entre el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado (GAD) Municipal y el Gobierno Provincial de Manabí (GPM).
El proyecto acoge a 175 Personas con Discapacidad (PCD) y son atendidos por siete promotoras de la Coordinación de Asistencia Social del GAD Municipal.
Durante la jornada de integración y recreación, hubo la presentación del grupo de danza de la escuela especial Unidos Venceremos. Además de varios concursos. Participaron del evento las reinas del cantón, funcionarios municipales, familiares de las personas con discapacidad, entre otras.
El alcalde del cantón Chone, Deyton Alcívar Alcívar, felicitó a las promotoras que trabajan diariamente con este grupo de personas, ya que sin ellas no fuera posible el resultado que se está obteniendo y cumplir con el mandato de la Constitución, sobre el Buen Vivir y Chone es ejemplo de ese arduo trabajo, emprendido durante su administración en cada uno de los programas sociales, culturales, deportivos, entre otros.
From the week after AID. My entire group was signed up for the tour after the program but as soon as we got to the meeting place in GaoXiong we decided it wasn't for us. We didn't want to be dragged around on another rushed bus tour to places that we wouldn't have the time to appreciate. We wanted to do things at our own pace. Most of us went back to our host families while Annie and I stayed with relatives in gaoxiong.
While I was originally hesitant to ditch the tour, I'm glad now that I did. I got to spend more time with my cute cousins (4 and 8 yrs) and explore the second largest city in Taiwan. This picture is from the meetup we had in Kending with all the girls from the AID group and 2 of the host families. The view was absolutely gorgeous and the beach was so refreshing. One of my favorite days of the entire trip but also the saddest because this really was the last time I'd see my host family.
