Drawing while having a coffee is one of my favorite things and moments. Sometimes it comes presented with a very "drawable" look, so I thought of create a serie of Coffee drawings.
Plus, sometimes we can't barely admire this pieces because we usually drink them so fast and asleep in the morning :) This is my 2cents for this important element in most of us daily routine.
I could add more and more details, but I wanted to let it a painterly aspect.
Procreate on iPad (2) (no need to draw a zombie to use the zombie skin brush :P)
Nota para la gente de Arte en Español: soy de Granada pero la mayoría de contactos son extranjeros de todas partes, por esto escribo la descripción en ingles.
Another sketchbook page from the Seydel archives, pen and watercolor crayon, then ProcreateApp for a few minor changes.
Early morning, people heading to work, the sun appears over the roof of the old houses. In the heart of Paris Rue La Boétie offers this amazing view to Sacre Coeur.
One of the two days out of the year that I wear a wool hat! Selfie, Procreate and Moku Hanga on iPad air
This is the final illustration I did for a tutorial in DigitalArtist number 34. It was done in procreate on my iPad. It was inspired by my recent discovery of the incredible story of Kowloon Walled City in the no man's land between Hong Kong and China. The crowded city grew randomly inside the walls of an ancient fort. Though it was autonomously governed by triads, and the economy was ostensibly based on drugs and prostitution, it is said that the occupants lived mostly in harmony. Incredible given that Inside the walls 6 acres the population swelled to almost 40,000 inhabitants. In 1993 the Chinese evicted the occupants and demolished it to make a park in 1994.
I started to think of Kowloon Walled City as a "proof of concept" for the future and got to wondering how many Kowloons the future will hold for us, however technological we become. But of course, Ridley Scott got there well before me, Kowloon Walled City Was an inspiration for the film Bladerunner.

Made with Procreate App and iPad 2. From imagination, but inspired by the extinted narrow gauge line of Mogiana Railroad in Serra Negra (Black Sierra), Brazil.
I love the idea of a walking city. Kind of like a cruise but without leaving your house.

Procreate 2.1 is finally here and I can post what I worked on during the beta stage of "fire"! I always wanted to do a portrait of Sigourney Weaver, especially after the one I did of John Hurt last year in what will hopefully become a series of portraits of my favorite actors. I am also super psyched about the new "Alien Isolation" game coming out this october where Sigourney actually reprises her role as Ripley, 35 years later!!!
I used a photo ref of Sigourney of course, but I improvised the environment as a kind of love letter to the Nostromo spaceship set design, which is in my opinion still one of the most realistic sci-fi environments ever created on film. For a laugh, read the small post-it note on the left monitor. :)
Here's a timelapse for those interested:
I made this one for Ki, a kid with a lot of imagination (and IMO, future art director in somewhere ;). In fact, I haven't post this work earlier cause I was waiting for Ki to name his very own robot ;). Then, I respected his choice (I love it btw ).
Procreate on iPad 2
Hice este dibu para un chaval llamado Ki, que tiene tremenda imaginación y llegara lejos. Él mismo nombró el robot y yo he respetado su decisión.

Drawn in Procreate App but possibly another app like Sketchclub to do some manipulation

A couple of months back I did this very quick moon for an Ipad interactive story app called "the Wanted 18", all about palestinian cows...and their political involvment. True story. Really! Actually a complementery app for the documentary of the same name, it features stop-motion puppets, sets and animations. This moon was incorporated in a 360 degrees backdrop intro menu that moves around with the tilt sensor of the Ipad. Quite cool actually! I also made some real props that were shot for the app's stop-motion animations.
