Pictures from the WOMAD Procession which snakes through the festival at the end of Sunday afternoon. This is the chance for the children, their families and the helpers to show off the wonderful costumes, masks, music instrument and models they have spent the week making in 'The World of Kinds' area. Lots of charities get involved, as do some of the performers. Look out for the Dohls of Jaipur, The Bollywood Band and Beatroots.

Oriel Myrddin Gallery joined with thousands of women in Cardiff on Sunday 10 June 2018 to march in celebration of 100 years of votes for women.
We worked with an inter-generational group of women, including young women from Dr Mz's youth project in Carmarthen, and artist Rhiannon Williams to create our warrior butterfly banner.
The day was amazing. We were very proud to be represented alongside women from across wales enjoying the sunshine and marching together in solidarity through the streets of the city.

Every year the church of St Peter in Clerkenwell, serving the Italian community, holds a procession with floats featuring living tableaux, music, representatives of Italians from all over Britain. The tradition started in the 1880s when this area was known as "Little Italy". The procession ends with Mass in St Peter's, one of the most beautiful churches in the country.
We had barely started looking around St Emilion when we heard the drums and pipes. Following the sound we came across a procession winding it's way through town down to the church. We asked what the procession was about and found that they were celebrating the start of the red grape harvest. The procession and mass were to bless the harvest.
The FĂĽrstenzug (English: Procession of Princes) in Dresden, Germany, is a large mural of a mounted procession of the rulers of Saxony. It was originally painted between 1871 and 1876 to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the Wettin Dynasty, Saxony's ruling family. In order to make the work weather proof, it was replaced with about 23,000 Meissen porcelain tiles between 1904 and 1907. With a length of 102 metres (335 ft), it is known as the largest porcelain artwork in the world. The mural displays the ancestral portraits of the 35 margraves, electors, dukes and kings of the House of Wettin between 1127 and 1904.
