Earlier today, the Guardian's data store released a list showing how much different countries and organizations have pledged to the Haiti eathquake aid effort.

I built a visualization tool to turn these numbers into something real - first, I asked how much money was being spent per citizen of these countries. Then I took that figure and converted it to Avatar minutes: how many minutes of Avatar would this earthquake aid pay for?

Sweden gives up the most Avatar minutes (37 - almost a quarter of the film) while Canada donates just 3 minutes of Avatar time per citizen (which probably wouldn't even make it through the credits).

These images are a screenshot from a tool which allows you to explore the data in detail.

"Red" sneakers - slightly processed....

…I went yesterday and it’s getting worse (the insanity not the bitch) - until I stop studying at least. I can’t explain the picture. Don’t search for its intent, because there isn’t any. For those, who think I’m a bitch, maybe, but I have no comment. I’m not saying the picture is nice or well done (it is my first work with Photoshop), but since Flickr has became something like my blog (not exactly, but almost), I would like to put this image into my photostream as well. Supported by cooks - thanks. The wall wasn't captured by me - its author is OlliK, view the original picture at: www.flickr.com/photos/ok6/471247560/ - thanks to him too.

My Dear friends and collectors!

I never imagined this would happen to me, that I could find myself in this situation…

Recently I found out that THIS DOLL has been casted in resin WITHOUT MY PERMITION !!!

Some lady bought from me OOAK (one of a kind ) doll and I found her facebook page with my pictures of working process of this doll , on her page she displayed my doll's pictures as her next project !!! Without mentioning that this doll was sculpted by me!

She never ordered from me to sculpt the "prototype" for her molds, in addition, I'll never sculpt for anyone the prototypes for molds, because all of my art is one of a kind as you all know.

The only person who is allowed to copy my art is me!

And now she did molds from my doll and she is going to sell this dolls, I guess…

If you see the dolls which are the same to my doll ( even in different skin color)-please let me know .

Another photo of a crack in the wall going into a small book of cracks.

Midori Passport sized sketchpad...Its small leather cover which utilizes an elastic system to hold pads of paper in them. I was not crazy about the actual Midori brand paper which came with it, not enough pages, not the best quality paper, cost prohibitive and of course the wait for the paper to get to me. Some of my peers gave me the idea just make my own pads which slip in just as easily. I have color coded mine, colors I like each specific for a type of paper (Mixed medium etc etc) This has allowed for me to do pads with far more pages using papers that I enjoy. I go with 2 pads in my holder at a time as the Midori is not the main one I take out with me all the time but if it were I could easily fit four pads in. All you need is a stapler, heavy stock for a cover and a table cutter and a ruler. (Not for use without permission)

Areca nut is the fruit of the areca palm. It is often used along with the betal leaf as a mild stimulant. The areca palm is famous in the shringeri region. The type here requires more processing than other varieties. While many farms have opted for modern methods, there a few who still do it the traditional way. Here areca nuts being processed early morning.
