The City of Virginia Beach commissioned artist Giuseppe Percivati aka. Pepe Gaka to create site-specific murals to be painted under the Rudee overpass for Spring 2018. Pepe has over eight years of international experience in private and public commissioned mural work. The murals will transform the Rudee Underpass Walkway into a work of art that becomes a welcoming space for visitors, residents and families. Each panel of nine square columns will be entirely covered by designs made to look like stained glass and representing sports, nature and landmarks of Rudee Inlet and Virginia Beach.

Afterlight phone app. It's always fun to try a new phone app to edit a pic. I don't think Afterlight will be my favourite phone app but it's fun and easy to use. I like some of the masks/frames in it. A poppy from my yard.
Thanks Chic (www.flickr.com/photos/80454089@N00/) for bringing the app to my attention.
Another re-processed shot today, and it is one of my favourite shots of my "favourite tree" on Somerton Road, Greenvale at sunrise one morning in April of this year.
Like the original this is a six exposure merge in Photomatix using the "Painterly" preset with "Natural" light settings.
For this re-processing I used a trial version of DxO Optics Pro 7 I downloaded last night to remove chromatic abberation and noise from the original six images.
Early days yet (only downloaded it yesterday), but early impressions of Optics Pro are very favourable. I love the idea of a software package that understands the specific scientifics of your lens and camera combinations.
What took me literally hours in Photoshop on the original image (removing the CA from all around the tree), was done with the tick of a check box.
