HAPPY NEW YEAR

Public sculpture on the edge of Paternoster Square by Thomas Heatherwick. I've just discovered that it is actually called 'Paternoster Vents' and functionally provides a vent for an electricity substation below it.

It has subsequently become known as 'Angel's Wings'.

A Snowdrop with a little bit of iPiccy magic :-)

I am going to the opticians shortly to have the back of my eyes photographed, this entails having drops put in them that affect my vision for the rest of the day. Tomorrow I am going to hospital to see a surgeon for a check up and hopefully getting some news on when the reversal operation can take place. I will try to catch up with everyone over the weekend :-)

Toned and filtered but the full shot as taken above my head. No cropping or distortion... happen to like triangles and I saw plenty of them here... it became the base for my contribution for Sliders Sunday.

Thought I'd give this free programme a trial using Silver Efex 2. I think mono suits architecture or mechanical things best - might give that a try.

An idea developed for the we're here group.I've put a much processed image into that group but wanted to post this image in my 366 group.I've never taken a self portrait before!

Sucker for vintage! It just opens up another world where I envision the history behind the object/subject. I need time to go through the emotions, even though is a made up story in my head 😆😁

Finally uncovering some of the mysteries of processing.

These are preview images for the talk I am giving at UCLA tomorrow.

Made with Processing and runs in near realtime (anywhere from 5 to 30 fps). The sphere surface is not traditionally texture mapped and is made up of a couple hundred freely moving overlapping textures. The entire system is dynamic, and with a zippy computer, could probably be audio responsive with little extra overhead.

click "all sizes" up above and download the (3412 x 2394) size, then print it out, cut it out and fold it and then glue or tape it together! the bigger the paper the easier it is to fold this thing!;
