Week 37 of Kim Klassen's Beyond Layers. Her challenge was to use text to create an image. I used one of my recent sunrise images at Clingman's Dome.

Post processing practice. Burned the photo except for her face, whitened teeth, liquified eyes, tanned her face, Gaussian blurred her face. added lens flare, added sparkle to her earring.

This series of images was processed using Snapseed as part of a recipe that I'm working with that closely matches old film BW Print qualities.

The goal of all this Madness is to try to use as much of the in-camera jpg processing engine as possible for when I'm on the road and away from the Big Computer.

RAWR!

A quick glimpse at my process

This is a version of a dandelion picture I posted a while ago (from our garden in Kitahiroshima). I back up my images with Google Photos (I don't work for Google so that isn't an advertisement) and they automatically apply processing/effects on certain images (I don't know how they select the image). If you download the image then re-upload it as a differently named image, Google Photos will reprocess it again. You can continue this (which is very easy if you use the Google Photo Uploader) for quite some time ending up with a highly surreal image.
