The leaves seems a little curled: is it a problem and what do I need to do about it?
Bought from a garden centre, planted in this planter a couple of weeks ago.

We've got pigeons nesting in the soffit box directly outside our bedroom window. It's not much of a problem apart from the scritching and scratching at night. Anyway I called a guy and they're going to try and come and take a look over the next couple of days. He mentioned removing the birds, blocking the opening, etc. I don't actually want to know what's involved.
Ok, so as I'm talking to this guy on the phone, I'm standing outside the front explaining what I see, and there in the little alleyway at the side of our house is this baby pigeon... just standing there! Ok, what?! It must have fallen out of the soffit box and is now hanging out in our side entrance.
A friend suggested that we're responsible for it now, and we should take it in and raise it by hand. Um, a minute ago we were on the phone to a pigeon fixer... I'm not sure it's in my constitution to raise a pigeon as my own. I say let nature take its course.
Update: we've provided a small box as refuge for the chick in the alleyway... we shall see whether it's in our bed by tonight.

Having problems on long descents in the drops. Still had a old pair of Mustache bars in stock. Rode 14 miles in 45 min's. (several stops to adjust position).
Running like a dog. Difficult to get a spark to reset the timing. Ended up replacing the condenser (it was loose) and pitted points. Valve gaps were good but low compression in No1 cylinder still need addressing though.

So two hours ago when I was on Flickr everything was fine. I log on to upload some pictures (via Firefox) and I can't access ORGANIZE. No hiccup message, just nothing. The little circles just keep rotating and rotating.
So I try through AOL. A week ago I was having issues with Flickr because they updated it and it messed up my router and it had to be reset to work with Firefox and IE, but it did work with AOL.
So I log onto AOL and go to Flickr and then to Organize. This is what I see. In case you don't know......I DON'T SPEAK OR READ GERMAN (if that is what it is). What the hell. If I have to reset my router every single time they upgrade Flickr I'm gonna be pissed off. Never had this issue in the year or so I've been a member and now I apparently have issues every week. What the hell?
This works, but it is not all that great - because, if you look, the rear tire is well below the bumper! I don't like that - there is too much of a chance of having something bad happen if the rear wheel lowered.
I know A (it's actually 0,0) I also know B, C, and theta. C is clamped between A and B.
I need to know at what distance (x) along the line at y=C would a point make a triangle with the angle theta and the opposite side AB.
Should have paid more attention in school.
UPDATE: So @brucehoult found a good solution. His Summary:
The trick here is that, no matter what theta is, as you vary C from 0 to B the solution point lies on a cicle. When theta is 90 degrees, the center of the circle lies on the line between A and B, but for other values of theta it doesn't, so you need to find it.

This is a problem I never saw in the text books. The solution means that the camera in Chopper 2 can automatically zoom in and out (translate in and out really) when the playing area becomes shorter or taller, but still display exactly the area where everything is happening. Looks great.

Image shot with Nikon D800 with Panoramique AJ Pipon Paris 13cm Foyer 13x18 (fitted in plastic M42 lens cap, M42 36–90mm focussing helicoid and a M39 to Nikon F adapter.— Part of the Antique Camera Simulator project.
The AJ Pipon Panoramique f13cm lens is very small, which creates a very dark image in the viewfinder of the Nikon D800. As a result focussing the lens in low light, incl. overcast sky, is very difficult. This is exacerbated by the fact that the focussing helicoid of course allows movement beyond infinity (while 'normal' lenses have a infinity lock); thus even focussing on infinity poses problems.
