We've got pigeons nesting in the soffit box directly outside our bedroom window. It's not much of a problem apart from the scritching and scratching at night. Anyway I called a guy and they're going to try and come and take a look over the next couple of days. He mentioned removing the birds, blocking the opening, etc. I don't actually want to know what's involved.
Ok, so as I'm talking to this guy on the phone, I'm standing outside the front explaining what I see, and there in the little alleyway at the side of our house is this baby pigeon... just standing there! Ok, what?! It must have fallen out of the soffit box and is now hanging out in our side entrance.
A friend suggested that we're responsible for it now, and we should take it in and raise it by hand. Um, a minute ago we were on the phone to a pigeon fixer... I'm not sure it's in my constitution to raise a pigeon as my own. I say let nature take its course.
Update: we've provided a small box as refuge for the chick in the alleyway... we shall see whether it's in our bed by tonight.
My problem is assholes.
The best choice is to beat the shit out of those assholes because otherwise I'm likely to turn into an asshole myself and become a cop when I grow up.

One of my dad's email responses to some question I'd had. I love that he prints out my stuff, writes on it with sharpie, then scans and emails it.

This is Lembi at the mouth of the Malo River. I laughed when I saw his tee-shirt. It is the exact same tee-shirt I bought in Sydney for my brother 2 weeks ago. (So, maybe brother's wife is not happy that I gave him this gift! Hahahah!). This is evidence that all men all over the world have the same problem - nagging women!
