A mono of the North Western end of Meall na Suiramach, which has some surreal geological features as part of this landslip area known as the "Quiraing".

The Rocky buttress in the centre ground leads up to tall block of rock named"The Prison" and beyond that to the right, you see the 37m high "Needle" set high in the huge cliffs. Beyond that lies "The Table", a plateau area where it is said settlers hid their livestock when Vikings raided the area.

The lower path seen here leads around the Prison and back along the escarpment. I had spent an enchanting morning high up on the escarpment watching the sunrise from above the Needle. Quite an undertaking to scramble up in the dark, but well worth the effort!

Master Po: What have you found?

Kwai Chang Caine: A spider, master. It has trapped a fly. Should I destroy his web?

Po: Why?

KCC: So it will not make a prison for other living things that were free.

Po: Look more closely, Grasshopper. Were you to destroy this web, would not the spider, knowing no other way, build another?

KCC: Yes. But I cannot kill the spider.

Po: Look more closely still. Is not the spider also trapped by its own web?

KCC: Yes, but if I do nothing, it will capture more living things, make them prisoner, and kill them.

Po: You are concerned then with the fly, to which nature has given wings. That it may move about freely.

KCC: It is cruel to see it made a prisoner.

Po: Still you do not see. Which is truly the prisoner? The fly, which moving freely, enters unknown danger. Or the spider? Which having spun its web, remains. Never knowing the pleasure or the danger of the fly.

Happy Fence Friday!

Some of the bunks prisoners were forced to stay in whilst awaiting a rather bias trial at the hands of the SS.

Finally I decided to surrender. A self execution.

Good bye

(this was the deleted info)

Finally I decided to surrender. A self execution.

I think I came to the last limit, there is nothing can done anymore.

I have the proper pride that it happen with my will, they couldn't catch me since 15 months. My lawyer and father we agreed on the surrender at 09/06/2020. I will be in the prison 1 week (I hope).

I feel like I'm going on a very different journey.

Extremely small cells, a bed, desk, washbasin,a toilet. A prison who had a few famous people, feared men (6) Karpis,Capone,George,Birdman,Roy Gardner and Frank Lee Morris. Built in 1934 and closed in 1963,

Interesting the escape of 3 prisoners the Anglin brothers and Frank Morris. Case closed with no guarantees that these 3 individuals ever made it to the main land....

Let your imagination work!

PS: I could not wait to get out of there and be outside.

Terrible.

Yellow Prison is an architecturally fascinating abandoned penitentiary in Portugal. The prison operated for over a century before it closed.
