This printing press was used in Fort Sumner, New Mexico, for printing letters and a small newspaper. It was made by American Type Founders Co., Chandler & Price, in Cleveland, Ohio and was patented on June 13, 1899. My wife has instructed me, the next time I visit here, I am to bring this home for her.
Founded in 1906 in Oakland, CA, Horwinski Printing Co.continues to honor the past craftsmen of letter press printing by using only antique wood type and authentic foundry metal type in it's poster and small job work.
The printed transparency! Two things may have gone wrong at the point. If you've printed it on the rough side, then congratulations; you've messed up. And cost yourself a transparency at the same time. Pay more attention next time. Secondly, if you've forgotten to reverse your design, you'll soon notice. If you've printed it on the right side, though, you can always clean the slide and try again (see the final picture in this tutorial).

My second visit to this amazingly preserved one-man Newspaer Museum in Coos Bay Oregon. the Marsfield Sun ran from 1891- to 1944
This five-sided building contains all of the type cases and printing equipment used by The Marshfield Sun Newspaper, a weekly that began publication in 1891 and continued until 1944. Lots of letterpress equipment and such, but my favorite is the hot led machine that would turn paper molds into type molds. Amazing. Had the same tour guide, a self proclaimed, Printer's Devil, Ken Johnson who showed me around last visit.
This is a shot of the Printing Horse Sculpture in front of a Building called the Print Media Academy in Heidelberg Germany. These are from my company Heidelberger Druckmaschinen - the biggest printing machine manufacturer in the world.

These fabrics were all printed by myself in India. I attended a week long course facilitated by Skills Tourism to utilise local artisans in Mysore and showcase their skills. It was a busman's holiday for me as a printmaker but one of the best things I have ever done in India. If you ever get the opportunity, you must try it.

A mix of black, white and red lino prints with stitch work to enhance prints. Illustrates ability and desire to experiment with printing techniques early on. Based on a line drawing from the same flowers shown previously.
Initially began with lino print experimentation moving onto etching to retain precision of lines, which become slightly lost in lino print.
