My ALDD group at Cinderford Artspace printed onto teabag paper today - we're making whacky hats this term.
Beccy used her card printing block confidently.
The big idea is to settle on a standard UK Comic format (28 b&w pages plus colour covers and inner convers, sized 155 mm × 245 mm) that is compatible with US comic-book size, but can be printed at reasonable prices in short print runs (starting at 100 for £1·80 each). If enough people converge on that format, Smallzone can start pitching specialized displays for these comics to bricks-and-mortar shops.

Malafamilia’s unicity It’s all about the craftsmanship: graphics, labelling, preparation, and printing (manual serigraphy).
Malafamilia’s production is always a limited production, just the exact opposite of the mass/standardized one:

And behind the scenes there is much more: each article of clothing is not only a print, but also a sign of visual communication; each logo originates from our paintings and drawing papers; each work is firstly a work of art, a work of technical know-how, a symbol of the street crews all over the world. From the drawing machines to the wardrobes, you can find art, talent and experimentation perfectly mixed together. Always. Compared to the rest of the market, Malafamilia represents an anomaly - since 2006 - because is based on the ‘free trade’ ideology instead of the ‘buy and sell’ one. “Our project is both ambitious and simple: first our graphics have to be true to a peculiar life style, then comes the assessment.”.

My second visit to this amazingly preserved one-man Newspaer Museum in Coos Bay Oregon. the Marsfield Sun ran from 1891- to 1944
This five-sided building contains all of the type cases and printing equipment used by The Marshfield Sun Newspaper, a weekly that began publication in 1891 and continued until 1944. Lots of letterpress equipment and such, but my favorite is the hot led machine that would turn paper molds into type molds. Amazing. Had the same tour guide, a self proclaimed, Printer's Devil, Ken Johnson who showed me around last visit.

A couple years ago I got a used Canon Pixma Pro9000 Mk II. Once I learned how to prepare my images for print, as opposed to preparing them for web, there's difference, I was able to dial this machine in for great results. I use Canon paper and ink so works flawlessly together.
I get to print on demand, whenever I want, for really cheap, and the photos look amazing.
