Hexa Grace is the tiled roof of Monaco's centre of congress.
It was done in 1979 by Victor Vasarely, one of the fathers of Op-Art (Optical-art). His Hungarian name is Vásárhelyi Győző, and he was born in Pécs city in Hungary.
Op art, also known as optical art, is a style of visual art that makes use of optical illusions.
"Optical art is a method of painting concerning the interaction between illusion and picture plane, between understanding and seeing." (John Lancaster). Op art works are abstract, with many of the better known pieces made in only black and white. When the viewer looks at them, the impression is given of movement, hidden images, flashing and vibration, patterns, or alternatively, of swelling or warping.

Dear friends, yesterday I went to Monaco, Principautè de Monaco, a well-known small sovereign city-state. Here you may take a look at the "Musée Océanographique", which is a museum of marine sciences in Monaco-Ville, Monaco.
The museum is home to exhibitions and collections of various species of sea fauna (starfish, seahorses, turtles, jellyfish, crabs, lobsters, rays, sharks, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, eels, cuttlefish etc.) both stuffed and in skeletal form. The museum's holdings also include a great variety of sea related objects, including model ships, sea animal skeletons, tools, weapons, etc.
An aquarium located in the basement of the museum showcases a wide array of flora and fauna. Four thousand species of fish and over 200 families of invertebrates can be seen. The aquarium also features a presentation of Mediterranean and tropical marine ecosystems.

Montecarlo and its marina taken from Monaco-ville.
Please note the extreme urbanization of the entire territory of the Principality, which contrasts with the overlying Hills (formerly France), still intact.
Please also note the beautiful color of the sea and the many boats that crowd the marina.

Very important: dear friends, in the next days I'll be offline because I have a small vacation in Tuscany. I hope to take some good shots. See you next Monday, have a great weekend!

Monaco, Monaco
I think the California without T is already a nice looking Ferrari, but the California with T(ea) seems to be a very successful update. Sportier, more aggressive and an improved look. Parked in a nice spot as well in the heart of Monte Carlo.

Conspicuous, noisy and Italian. Grey with red accents. The elegant GranCabrio become a lot more aggressive by the addition of the letters 'MC' and personalization by the owner. Responsible for a Maserati, or not? I think it's pretty cool.

Hij verdween net zo snel als hij verscheen, dus helaas maar één redelijke foto kunnen maken. Daarna niet meer gezien. Maar wat een indrukwekkende machine!

He disappeared just as quickly as he appeared. So unfortunately only one picture. After that I haven't seen him again. But what a impressive machine!

The Huracán STO (Super Trofeo Omologato) is a track focused variant of the Huracán. It is completely different from other Huracán variants. The STO has a taller rear wing with a roof snorkel for engine cooling. There is a shark fin aerodynamic device connecting the roof snorkel with the rear wing. The engine cover is reminiscent of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Evo race cars. The entire hood opens to reveal a small compartment for storing racing equipment and the body is made of 75% carbon fibre. The engine and the power output of the STO is the same as the Huracán Perfomante and the Huracán Evo and it has rear-wheel drive with a rear wheel steering system and CCMR Brakes inspired from Formula 1. The STO comes with three new driving modes: STO for road driving, TROFEO for fast lap times on dry tarmac, and PIOGGIA for wet weather driving. The bucket seats on the interior feature racing harnesses.

Port Hercule - La Condamine - Principality of Monaco.
It was a fairly nice day with moderate temperatures in Monaco, although light was a bit soft with the low-lying clouds. This time of the year is low on the tourist scale which is always nice so I don't have to be bothered by the crowd. There were also none of those huge visiting cruise ships on port, so overall it was a quiet and tame atmosphere in this city state.
Port Hercule is Monaco's main harbour for ships and luxury yachts, as well as super yachts visiting from all over the world. The harbour has been used since the ancient times and covers over 16 hectares with an anchorage for up to 550 sailing and motor yachts. This only port of Monaco is located in the heart of the district of the Condamine and its nearby shopping and leisure facilities.

Fontvieille is the newest of the four traditional quarters (districts) in the principality of Monaco, and one of ten Wards for modern administrative purposes. It is located in the western part of Monaco.
It is a newly constructed area reclaimed from the Mediterranean Sea during the 1970s.
Fontvieille contains Stade Louis II (or Louis II Stadium), which serves as the home ground of AS Monaco FC, a Monaco football club that is one of the most successful in the French national league; the stadium also contains the club's offices and the International University of Monaco (IUM). The ground also hosts the European Super Cup, an annual event pitting the winners of the top UEFA club competitions, the Champions League and Europa League.

The principality of Monaco is the world's second smallest sovereign state by area and the most crowded.
Most of the total area increase over the last 50 years is through land reclamation.
The views are nice over the Monte Carlo district. The home of the Monaco Grand Prix.
I spent €15 on train and bus tickets for the day. For a place so expensive, it is one of the cheapest day trips in Europe (from Nice).
The Prince's Palace of Monaco is the official residence of the Prince of Monaco. Founded in 1191 as a Genoese fortress, during its long and often dramatic history it has been bombarded and besieged by many foreign powers. Since the end of the 13th century, it has been the stronghold and home of the Grimaldi family who first captured it in 1297. The Grimaldi ruled the area first as feudal lords, and from the 17th century as sovereign princes, but their power was often derived from fragile agreements with their larger and stronger neighbours.
During the 19th and early 20th centuries, the palace and its owners became symbols of the slightly risqué glamour and decadence that were associated with Monte Carlo and the French Riviera. Glamour and theatricality became reality when the American film star Grace Kelly became chatelaine to the palace in 1956. In the 21st century, the palace remains the residence of the current Prince of Monaco.
