The house below the image is the museum Guido Gezelle, Flemish poet of the 19th century, is one of the major figures of Belgian literature. A student at the major seminary in Bruges, he was ordained a priest and taught students. Flemish is not a language considered noble and yet the young teacher begins to write his first verses in Dutch. For having defended the weakest, his superiors imposed on him one of the poorest parishes in the region. He finally returned to Bruges in 1889 where he remained until his death ten years later.
Recognized during his lifetime for the quality of his poetry, Guido Gezelle accumulated honors from 1886. In 2012, the city of Bruges declared him the greatest hero of Bruges and his birthplace has been transformed into a museum since 1926.
The Guido Gezelle Museum (Gezellemuseum), located to the east of the city not far from a mill in a popular and quiet area, is complemented by a romantic garden where you can easily imagine the poet working in the shade. tall trees. The house that hosts the museum is a rustic and functional building from the 16th century. The poet's father worked there as a gardener for an important merchant in the city. Guido therefore lived there for many years and nature, a theme dear to his writings, was certainly inspired by the adjoining garden.

I watched this fisherman use his elderly 1966 Land Rover to drag varius small fishing boats up the very steep slipway at Priest's Cove. I was amazed at the condition of the Landie and I bet it hasn't travelled far from here in a number of years.
The Sandpoint Turn departs Priest River, Idaho over the town's namesake river on a Warren truss bridge built by the Great Northern after picking up loaded centerbeams at the Stimson Lumber transload.
I loved how political Priests was and how lead singer Katie Alice Greer urged to crowd to be informed and do everything we could to resist Trump. There's a really great article about this band in Rolling Stone:

Taizō-in (退蔵院) is the oldest sub-temple (tatchū (塔頭)) of the Myōshin-ji Rinzai Zen Buddhist temple, situated in the northwest of Kyoto, Japan. It was founded by Zen priest Muinsoin in 1404. The original temple buildings were burned during the Ōnin War (1467-1477), and were later rebuilt.
A new pond garden, or yoko-en, was designed by Kinsaku Nakane in 1963-1966. The new garden is large enough for visitors to walk in, and contains azaleas and a stream that cascades along the main axis, directly toward the main viewing position. The stream flows around rocks, gradually widening until it empties into a pool in front of the viewer.

The Greek priest
You can in Greece, the Greek priest - or Pappas, as they are called - encounter everywhere. They are recognizable by their long, black or blue clothes and their hats. They are not required to always wear their priest clothes, but they do usually, for practical reasons and because they are easier to identify in that way. The Greek priests can marry and have children.
The POVA Sandpoint Turn arrives Priest River, Idaho light power to switch Stimson Lumber and take a train east to the BNSF at Sandpoint. The sawmill itself is located across the river from the transload facility and is one of the many sawmills located along the Pend Oreille River which make up a large majority of the POVA's revenue.
Another take on Dove Crag. The break in the clouds revealed the Priest Hole that offers amazing views over the north lakes mountains. On the to do list!
Can't wait for a decent snowfall to bring a different perspective.
Down at Priest Cove, at Cape Cornwall this morning in filthy weather, shooting into the wind. This is the only image I could salvage, all the others were covered in a mass of rain and seawater spots.

Daigo-ji (醍醐寺 Daigo-ji) is a Shingon Buddhist temple in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Japan. Its main devotion (honzon) is Yakushi. Daigo, literally "ghee", is used figuratively to mean "crème de la crème" and is a metaphor of the most profound part of Buddhist thoughts.
Daigo-ji was founded in the early Heian period. In 874, Rigen-daishi (Shōbō) founded the temple.
After having fallen ill and abdicated in 930, Emperor Daigo entered Buddhist priesthood at this temple. As a monk, he took the Buddhist name Hō-kongō; and shortly thereafter, died at the age of 46. He was buried in the temple, which is why his posthumous name was Daigo.
Several structures, including the kondō and the five-story pagoda, are National Treasures of Japan. The temple possesses 18 specifically designated national treasures, including the buildings and other works as well; and the temple holds several dozen important cultural assets. Wall paintings at the temple were the subject of academic research which earned the Imperial Prize of the Japan Academy in 1960.
As part of the "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto", it is designated as a World Heritage Site.
The five-storey pagoda at Daigoji temple was built in 951 and is the oldest building in Kyoto. It was one of few buildings to survive the Onin War in the 15th century. -wikipedia
